Right on cue, BBC Newshour has an "expert" on talking about Red Flag Laws, AKA "Extreme Risk Protection Orders."
SURPRISE, they don't prevent mass killings—the Buffalo shooter was actually investigated under NY's own Red Flag Law, and was still able to buy guns.
This is the game they play—pass laws undermining gun owners, inadequately enforce them against real criminals, then claim we need more laws to fix the negligence of police.
They also mention the usual garbage about "assault weapon" bans and limiting magazine capacity—if any issue demonstrates so handily that journalists lie the way they breathe, it's this one—the Dept. of Justice's own data showed the AWB didn't reduce violent crime. In fact, violent crime continued trending down for long after the ban expired in 2004.
Almost two decades on, they still pretend this is somehow debatable—and this is why we shouldn't bother to "debate"—we should simply tell the truth and tell it louder than their lies. That's not "debate," it's corrective action.

I think a large portion of the people advocating for gun control know that it’s actually just a means to disarm political rivals (the entire right-leaning White population) so any arguments explaining to them the whole futility of using gun control for public safety will be brushed aside or ignored entirely. Obviously all of the left’s policies over the past few decades have severely compromised public safety, and I think deep down they know this, because that was their intention. So the entire gun control effort has nothing to do with public safety and it NEVER did, our political enemies are just using public safety as a pretext to disarm you, to disarm us.
The only people that truly believe that gun control laws are necessary for public safety are the foolish soccer mom’s that have delegated their critical thinking to CNN and MSNBC. Everyone else on the left knows what’s what, they usually run on ulterior motives: they believe they can work with the government to disarm rightwing Whites, and why else would they want to disarm you unless it was to later enslave/kill you?
Hold onto your guns and defend your right to keep and bear arms, your life and your people’s existence depends on it.

The most consequential issue facing the dissident right really is the 2A — whether or not we can resist blatant tyranny — the movement just doesn’t realize it yet on a collective level. If we’re disarmed, It won’t matter how many arguments we win, how much truth we reveal, nor will it matter what political theories we subscribe to when ultimately it will all just amount to Molyneux-esque “reason, logic and evidence” in the face of enemies that are more than willing to employ government force to totally and permanently shut us all down for wrongthink and for being White, hetero, traditional, unvaxxed and etc... That’s where the West seems to be headed.
