This is probably one of the few Counter Currents articles I’ve discovered that I fundamentally disagree with, its backwards conclusion is especially hyper black pilled in a way that reeks of the Eeyore right described by Frodi. The TL;DR of this article (written by Gregory Hood) is that the 2A is somehow a crutch just because most conservatives are spineless and would never use it. This observation that conservatives are spineless cowards isn’t flawed at all, but where I find fault is with this idea that the Second Amendment is something holding us back, as if it was written for NPCs rather than people like us — you could just as easily argue that every single one of our rights (especially freedom of speech) is nothing but a crutch because normie conservatives are cowardly losers that won’t tell the truth and most people in generally are NPCs with nothing important to say. Unfortunately for us, to have our rights we have to share them with NPCs and cowards; but that doesn’t mean the value of having legally protected rights should hinge on the character of the NPC majority that we share those rights with. Having legally protected rights is an inherent good for us, no matter how blue pilled and cowardly the majority is.

The horrid conclusion from the article:

It’s not really the left anymore, it’s this skin suit of the left being worn by the system. Whenever I’m reminded that there exists this untermenschen-bugman-right, it reminds me of what I hate about modern civilization: its emasculating tyranny and its dysgenic, hyper domesticating effect on our people. Everything these untermenschen-right bugmen advocate for leads to the same environmental conditions that created the very things they claim to be against, and you can usually see it in their physiognomy. They typically have no real vision beyond opposing the current thing, and the solutions they offer don’t empower you, they just want the system to be under different management.
