Pox, I think what the original poster that you’re responding to was trying to articulate is that Americans value freedom and rights more than Europeans typically do. For example, they don’t have to be in a state of war against a foreign power to think “gosh, now I should allowed to have a gun.” Conservative Americans typically think differently: they think they should always have arms and be ready for something... The Waukesha Christmas attacker, Darryl Brooks, has chosen to represent himself in court.

I've researched the history of post-WW2 "Civil Rights" revolutions in every Anglosphere country. In the UK, homegrown commies (particularly Fabian Socialists) were massively overrepresented.

They weren't American agents, they were British Socialists doing what Socialists always do. If gun rights are a LARP than everything else is definitely a LARP, because there's no other hope against this tyranny otherwise. The ruling class aren't going to give up an inch just because we're "speaking truth to power" with better arguments or if our people take to the streets in the millions and occupy some state buildings — we've already seen over and over again how that is a just a huge LARP. The ruling class are not going to give up anything but time and money, which they have an infinite supply of, but as long as they have a sword over our heads and our people don't have a sword over theirs, why would they feel the pressure to actually concede any real power in the long term?
