There, likewise, two hundred and forty thousand Greeks perished.

Therefore later by Roman law no Jew can set foot on that land of Cyprus, but even if one of them is driven to the island by the force of the wind, he will be immediately put to death. Various leaders participated in the subjugation of these Jews, one of the most prominent of whom was Lycaeus, who was sent by Trajan.>>
