i can’t dream a full dream.
i can’t hope you’d stay long
when (based on all the things you never said),
you’d always have to leave.
i go from pain to numbness,
and from there again to pain
and all in vain.
i go from hope to lost again -no surprise-
and no choice but to adjust
to whatever’s happening.
are you another false hope?
another lesson on how to cope?
i can't keep hanging from a rope,
not anymore.

asked you on the phone?
