Dear Human Nodes,

Following our recent announcement regarding the temporary change to the validator fee distribution, we’ve seen an outpouring of thoughtful suggestions and valuable discussion from the community.

First off, thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts, and as always, we want to ensure that important decisions are made not only with transparency but with fairness and community involvement.

There were a few thoughtful suggestions from community members, like Lorento suggested a model where those who complete 84/84 receive the baseline rewards to cover server costs, and the rest are distributed among 1000 randomly selected human nodes.

CabirBTC suggested increasing the cap to 1400 and splitting the full amount among them, while pausing new validator entries to maintain balance.

These ideas reflect the same core values that built Humanode: fairness, sustainability, and shared ownership.

As mentioned in our previous announcement, the upcoming cycle will introduce a temporary change, where only 1000 nodes will receive validator rewards.

While this update is intended to safeguard the sustainability of the network in the short term, we understand that there are different ways to approach this situation and different perspectives on what “fair” looks like.

So, in true Humanode fashion (one human = one vote), we’re opening this up to you.

We are conducting a poll in Humanode Discord ⁠sr-polls channel, where human nodes can choose from the following suggested options.

1000 validators with 84/84 get $25/month, chosen randomly,

All 84/84 validators share the fees equally, but the amount of fees is reduced (amount depends on total number),

All 84/84 validators get $10, and the rest of the fee goes to 1000 randomly selected validators,

Note: Random Selection is temporary until we have PoT/PoD. Also for the current cycle the validator rewards will be distributed as per the current distribution rules.

The time has come to inform our friends and community members from around the globe of plans for the 2025 Humanode Conference. What first started online, moved to Istanbul last year to have a splendid time with the Turkish community and friends from around the world, will be hopping over to visit the vibrant community in Romania, and have some fun with our partners from Catacomb Crawlers this September!

The Humanode Core

The WeHMND/USDC LP staking contract (0xA9dC5E129df2D195db34807847EfeDC1eCE5f924) will come to an end on June 1st, 2025, estimated around 01:10:14 PM UTC, at block 13077390.

This contract has been running for the past 6 months, distributing 14,400 WeHMND/day to LPs through the nonlinear staking model that’s been core to BioDeFi.

If you’re currently staked, keep in mind:
1. Rewards will stop once the contract ends.
2. Your LP tokens are safe, but you’ll need to unstake and migrate to the new contract if you want to keep earning.

We’ll be deploying a new contract for the next 6-month cycle, with the same structure and same rewards. Please keep an eye out for the announcement with information regarding the deployment of the new contract, scheduled for later this week.

For those who are new: Humanode Biostaking is a Sybil-resistant staking model designed to ensure decentralized reward distribution among liquidity providers in a way that rewards are not proportionate to the amount pooled. It uses Humanode private biometric verification to make sure that every participant is unique.

If you are staked in the current pool:
1. You’ll need to unstake and restake your LP tokens in the new contract.

2. Rewards will start rolling in as soon as you stake to the new contract.

No additional rewards will be issued to the current poll as soon as it ends. However, you’ll still be able to claim the rewards you have already earned.

Make sure to move your assets to the new pool to keep earning rewards without interruption.

We will let you know when the new WeHMND/USDC staking contract goes live.
