Airdrops are great for launching new tokens and bootstraping network effect. However, this distribution mechanism is not perfect. With the application of cutting-edge liveness detection, validated participants can be proven to be distinct and human. Based on the “one human, one allocation” premise, Humanode will ensure a fair distribution of tokens to everybody eligible for the retroactive airdrop campaign.

Hello, human nodes! Following our lovely tradition, we are here to provide you with a recap of projects’ news and updates of the past two weeks! This period was pretty fruitful for the teams and the community,
The long-awaited Humanode testnet — Sachiel — is here and is running smoothly! The participants are able to go through a biometric enrollment process and become human nodes, validate blocks, send transactions, and take part in the $100,000 anti-spoofing bounty program by Humanode partner, FaceTec. As of now, there are about 7K testnet applicants, and >150 participants are interacting with face detection and faucet in testnet. Thank you for your interest, human nodes! Keep in mind that active testnet users will be given priority to become the first generation of human nodes once the mainnet launches in June 2022. So stay in the loop!
Currently, the Humanode teams are operating extremely hard on the major tasks. As part of the development update, they’ve shared what they’ve been working on over the past two weeks.
As for the network development, they fixed runtime crate compilation error, updated testnet documentation on Github and Gitbook. and researched forkless runtime upgrade. The team has also been working on the Humanode desktop app. This week, they implemented running nodes over SSH.
Considering crypto-biometric search and matching and liveness algorithms, the team added training noscript for deepfake detection, added inference noscript and Neural Network architecture for deepfake detection, updated weights for FASNetB based on liveness detection, refactored training code for FASNetA based on liveness detection, and upgraded the liveness detection model weights.
Also, the Humanode team continues a series of interviews with core team members. This week, they interviewed Shannon, media lead at Humanode. Shannon, media lead at Humanode, discusses his story and background, interests and professional experience, shares his vision for Humanode, and talks about the features he likes the most about the project. Read the interview in the Humanode blog!
Other than that, the Humanode Fireside talk took place in their telegram voice chat. The team discussed biometric-based NFTs and the Sachiel testnet. Listen to the recording on the Humanode Podcast, and join the team on Wednesday for the next ‘Human — AI symbiosis with biometrics’ conversation!

Since web3 social networks are built on an open codebase, developers can construct social graphs that create reputations. When integrated with a proof-of-person protocol like Humanode, this can prevent Sybil attacks on the network.

Have a good day, Humanode community!
We are running nodes through Humanode desktop app on Mac, Linux and Windows internally.
Minor fixes and a fancier UI - all that's left. We'll be ready to reach 1 000 nodes and become the biggest Substrate blockchain. Behold.
