The details of the Humanode Hackathon ‘Hack The Sybil’ with >30K prizes announced, ‘I’m online’ pallet integration, Humanode and UBI discussed, Word Play Contest winners soon, Humanode Conference is on the way, and more!

TL;DR
Welcome back to Humanode biweekly! Can you believe we’re nearing the middle of May already? A lot has happened over these two weeks. Let’s have a short overview of the news!
The Humanode team has just officially announced the details of the Humanode Hackathon “Hack The Sybil!” which will be hosted on DoraHacks from June 2nd to June 15th! They are also scheduling a Demo day to show the work of the participants of the Hackathon on June 22nd, and announce the winners once the demos are concluded. The hackathon will have >30K prizes and will include a series of educational workshops that teach participants to build decentralized applications on the Humanode network. After the hackathon, applicants will be able to apply for a grant through the Humanode Grant Program which will launch in Q3 2022 after the mainnet launch. Don’t forget to join Humanode Discord to team up with other participants and keep up to date with events during the hackathon!
During these weeks, Humanode teams were working assiduously as always, making significant progress with current tasks. The progress was minutely shared in their regular development update.
As for the network development, they integrated the ‘I’m online’ pallet, added proper constants definition, enabled macro formatting as well as grouping imports, disabled matrix cache key for Docker builds, corrected and simplified the bioauthentication pallet error handling, added proper tx pool error mapping to the RPC, enabled build optimizations for Ubuntu, as well as added macOS build optimizations.
As for the Web App, the team updated the FaceTec SDK dependency and code for React 18. In the Desktop app, they throttled logs to prevent excessive rendering, changed the offline indicator to a gray color, and improved bioauthentication status.
Considering crypto-biometric search and matching and liveness algorithms, the team worked on the implementation in Python of the collective authority protocols, added Github Actions workflow, converted the pose estimation model to ONNX Runtime Web, implemented active and passive liveness detection on the frontend, and optimized facial detection model performance.
As for OAuth, the team, added a scopes list view & removed any punctuation marks from Headers, changed typography components to variants, set up customization FaceTec SDK from theme, and added Login and Consent pages.
This time, the Humanode Fireside talk took place in the Humanode Twitter space. The team discussed Humanode and universal basic income (UBI). Listen to the recording, and join the team on Wednesday for the next conversation!
Keep in mind, that the Humanode Conference will take place from May 30th — to June 1st, 2022. Join the team on Gather for a few days of keynotes, lectures, seminars, games, conversations, and a whole lot of fun, focusing on the upcoming launch of Humanode mainnet, the project’s vision, partnerships, technology, and growing as a community!
That’s all for today! Have a wonderful weekend! All the love, all the power!

🔺Humanode Testnet v3 - “Ramiel” to Go Live🔺

The Humanode Core team is happy to announce that Testnet v3 - “Ramiel” will be launching on May 31st!

Ramiel will be the next major step towards the launch of the Humanode Mainnet this summer, and we will be focusing on brushing up the system, moving from permissioned Proof of Authority where nodes are supposed to trust each other, to a trustless permissionless system, and bringing EVM-compatibility to the Humanode testnet.

👉 More details>>>
Registration for the Humanode Conference is live

Hello, Human nodes!

We would like to invite all of you to the first-ever Humanode Conference, the event to meet the minds and builders behind the Humanode Project.
The conference is to be held online in gather.town on May 31st and June 1st.

We are planning up to 10 sessions over the course of 2 days, which will include lectures, panel discussions, games, quizzes, and fun.

We were originally hoping to meet everyone face to face, in Georgia (no, not the State, but the Country), but with the geopolitical crisis that is affecting everyone around the world (some, more directly than others... ) we have decided to hold the conference online. Fortunately, that means you can be at home, and choose all the sessions you are interested in joining, without having to travel across the globe.

Please sign up, and get more info from the site below.
