Here are the bi-weekly updates on the Humanode network. 


1- Major Updates
🔺Built and integrated the Humanode WebSocket tunnel. This resolves the authorization issues some participants were facing due to the ngrok update. Make sure you have the latest updated version of the Humanode launcher (3.2.1). (The detailed announcement will be released soon) 

2. Humanode Network
🔺Allowed writing content at build CI to add release artifacts to the release.
🔺Applied restricted permissions to all CI jobs.
🔺Added uncles consensus inherent. This PR fixes a bug with the authorship pallet not receiving any data.
🔺Verify SS58 Prefix is picked up correctly.
🔺Correct the version and build information display.
🔺Improved EIP712 implementations (Added real-world case at crates).
🔺Tested and benchmarked token claims and vesting.
🔺Integrated token claims and vesting into the runtime.

3. Humanode Bio-Auth
🔺Trained facial recognition model using several different loss functions and compared the accuracy;
🔺Implemented and tested optical flow visualization-based liveness detection;
🔺Working on improving optical flow visualization-based liveness detection by changing align parameters and using deep learning methods to get optical flow visualization images.

4. Others
🔺Implemented go server API for testnet validator checklist.
🔺Implemented confirmation messages on the Humanode web app.

Greetings, community! It’s time for our detailed recap of all things Humanode! The last two weeks were part of a wild ride full of hard work and worthy contributions — so let’s have a short overview of the thrilling news that has appeared lately.
A lot has been happening since the Humanode team announced the public sale details. These weeks they have shared some important updates. Due to the number of submissions the team has decided to close the registration to Wave 1 a bit earlier — both for validators and researchers. Wave 2 for Friends and the Broader community is now available for claiming. DAO participants from LobsterDAO, Aragon, Proof of Humanity, Bankless, and Gitcoin can now claim their respective places in the second wave by submitting the proper required info.
The good news is, that the long-awaited WL checker is here! Not only you are now able to check whether your ETH address has been properly mapped and whitelisted, but also you can get more details about your substrate addresses.
Keep in mind, that the KYC processing of the participants for the Public sale has been initiated Tokensoft is now going through the ETH addresses submitted to all waves.
As usual, during these weeks, the Humanode team was working tirelessly to make significant progress with current tasks. The progress was minutely shared in their regular development update. These weeks they built and integrated the Humanode WebSocket tunnel. This resolves the authorization issues some participants were facing due to the ngrok update. Make sure you have the latest updated version of the Humanode launcher (3.2.1).
As for the network development, the team allowed writing content at building CI to add release artifacts to the release, applied restricted permissions to all CI jobs and uncles consensus inherent, corrected the version and build an information display, improved EIP712 implementations, tested and benchmarked token claims and vesting, and integrated token claims and vesting into the runtime.
Considering the Bio-Auth, they trained the facial recognition model using several different loss functions and compared the accuracy, and implemented and tested optical flow visualization-based liveness detection. Currently, the Bio-Auth team is working on improving optical flow visualization-based liveness detection by changing align parameters and using deep learning methods to get optical flow visualization images.

Hello, human nodes!

As you have probably noticed, some participants’ authorizations in Testnet 3 went off due to the latest ngrok update. To resolve the issue, the dev team has built our own Humanode WebSocket Tunnel to replace ngrok for the human nodes!

Please make sure you are running the latest version of Humanode Launcher (v3.2.1).
If you haven’t installed it yet, click here to download the latest version and install the launcher: https://launcher.humanode.io

Once it’s set, go to “Settings” and click the “check for updates” button to check for any available updates.

You are good to go!

It has a few quirks as we haven’t integrated the Humanode Websocket Tunnel fully in the launcher, it will “pretend” to be ngrok in the UI. The ngrok indicator will still be present but will show ngrok as offline, while under the hood the Humanode WebSocket Tunnel will run. Nevertheless, since the issue was persistent, we decided to release the goods as soon as they were ready to resolve it. In the meantime, we are working on a proper integration and will deploy it soon.

🔥 We are excited to announce that testnet 4 “Gaghiel” is live 🔥

As some of you have probably seen the update on our website, it is now official and we are a step closer to mainnet.
After the successful test of Grandpa-enabled Testnet 3 “Ramiel”, our dev team has been working hard to make the Humanode blockchain technology even better. Testnet 4 “Gaghiel'' will be focusing on token claims, vesting, and unlocking systems that we will also be using to distribute tokens at TGE.

Here’s a hint: since our main goal for Testnet 4 is to test the token claims and vesting period, running a node in testnet 4 isn’t compulsory. However, Gaghiel is open to everyone. If you’d like to run testnet 4, this is especially prepared for you: https://link.humanode.io/testnet4.
