As some of you have probably seen the update on our website, it is now official and we are a step closer to mainnet.
After the successful test of Grandpa-enabled Testnet 3 “Ramiel”, our dev team has been working hard to make the Humanode blockchain technology even better. Testnet 4 “Gaghiel'' will be focusing on token claims, vesting, and unlocking systems that we will also be using to distribute tokens at TGE.
Here’s a hint: since our main goal for Testnet 4 is to test the token claims and vesting period, running a node in testnet 4 isn’t compulsory. However, Gaghiel is open to everyone. If you’d like to run testnet 4, this is especially prepared for you: https://link.humanode.io/testnet4.

Wave 1 is a special wave dedicated to our validators and researchers.
Due to pending US compliance approval we are forced to push our public sale a bit further.
Wave 1 whitelist will remain closed and no new submissions will be accepted.
As of now it is set to go live on the 6th of October, 14:00 UTC.
Some reminders before it begins:
1) Pass the KYC verification on Tokensoft. If you haven't done it you won't be able to participate in the sale. All the KYC'd accounts will be included in the list 12 HOURS BEFORE THE SALE BEGINS, on the 6th of October, 2:00 UTC so if you don't pass the KYC before that you won't be able to participate.
2) If you ran into any kind of problem you should have messaged sillis or cyber_ on discord to sort out everything out manually.
3) To make sure that you indeed have been whitelisted you can use this final checker to see your KYC status on Tokensoft and the Wave number that you were admitted to. Other wave participants can use it as well. We update it once in a while so don't panic if you haven't found yourself. Try contacting the guys mentioned above to sort things out.
4) The researchers that didn't receive the email about the participation but have submitted their pieces should also reach out to cyber_ on Discord to sort things out manually.

Hey, human nodes and friends! It’s time for our regular recap of all things Humanode! The last two weeks were full of hard work and contributions — so let’s have a short overview of the latest news.
First of all, last week, the Humanode team announced the launch of the Humanode testnet 4 ‘Gaghiel’ that is focusing on token claims, vesting, and unlocking systems that the team will use to distribute tokens at TGE.
Due to pending US compliance approval the team was forced to push the Humanode public sale a bit further. Wave 1 which is dedicated to Humanode validators and researchers is set to go live on the 6th of October, 14:00 UTC. Humanode has reached the quota for it, so Wave 1 whitelist will remain closed and no new submissions will be accepted. If you’re not whitelisted, Waves 2 and 3 for friends and the broader community are still open. DAO participants from LobsterDAO, Aragon, Proof of Humanity, Bankless, and Gitcoin can now claim their respective places in the second wave by submitting the proper required info.
Keep in mind, that the KYC processing of the participants for the Public sale has been initiated. Tokensoft is now going through the ETH addresses submitted to all waves.
As usual, during these weeks, the Humanode team made significant progress with current tasks. The progress was minutely shared in their regular development update.
As for the network development, the team limited the session validators’ amount, added benchmark template with doc and cache to End to End tests, bumped Rust to nightly, set the default SS58 prefix to our chosen one in the chain code, improved error handling at ngrok RPC URL detection, and backported CI improvements to Testnet 3.
Considering the Bio-Auth, they improved the optical flow visualization-based liveness detection approach by using soft labeling, and implemented Kubeflow pipeline in Bio-Auth repo.
Other than that, the ‘Humanode’s Got Talent’ contest is live. If you do magic tricks, play musical instruments, sing, dance, or have any other talent to show it is the time to express yourself and show off and a great chance to win $ 1,000. The team awaits your entries!

Unfortunately due to legal constraints (and bureaucrats in the middle), we have been forced to delay Wave 1 yet again by 24 hours. I know, it sucks. Although our legal team has been working 24/7, and our tech team has been prepared for quite some time already. It has been taking extra time to slice through the bureaucratic red tape, one of the greatest and oldest monsters humanity has had to face.
The good news is that this seems to be the last delay, and the Wave 1 sale will happen on Oct 7th, 2022.
