Google begins phasing out "legacy" mode in the Play Integrity API today, May 21, 2025, as previously announced

From now on, devices running Android 13 or higher must use hardware-backed integrity checks, such as Android Platform Key Attestation to meet the "strong integrity" standard. This change is aimed at strengthening the Android ecosystem’s security, making it harder to bypass app protections, especially in sensitive areas like payments and online gaming.

However, older devices and those running custom ROMs may face limitations due to the stricter requirements.
Full deprecation of legacy mode is set for August 31, 2027, giving developers time to update their apps to comply with the new standards.

Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to share a few updates.

First of all, I genuinely want to thank all of you who still download my ROMs and ports. Honestly, it’s something I can’t fully believe even after all this time. It’s also amazing to see new people discovering the Maki Project, and that really means a lot to me. I truly appreciate all the support you've shown throughout this journey.

Unfortunately, I no longer have my Redmi Note 8 (Ginkgo). Since I switched to a new device, I ended up giving the Ginkgo to someone who really needed it. This person didn’t have a phone at the time, and keeping two devices didn’t make much sense anymore, especially when the Ginkgo was no longer my main one.

Even though I’ve been a bit inactive, I do miss that routine. Even when it was exhausting, the goal was always to bring you the latest stuff first, whether as a preview or just to share the experience with you.

Truly, thank you for everything.
There are still many amazing developers out there building for Ginkgo, and I’ll continue to repost and share any updates I come across.

All I ask is that you keep downloading, even if you're not going to use it right away. That small click helps a lot more than you think, and it’s been a real support for me. Revisit the channel, test something new, or try a build you haven’t used before. It’s all still available here:
