It's interesting growing up and learning that most adults are not smart. I had my suspicions as a kid but I never thought the situation was this dire.

The weight of something. The weight of something is crushing my skull.
It’s burning away my eyes, stuffing my ears, and sewing my mouth shut.
I can’t hear, can’t see, can’t speak.
The world folds in on itself, silent and suffocating, pressing down until there’s nothing left but the weight.
