Research assistant(Ph.D) position in Germany
At the Faculty II - Computer Science, Economics and Law - the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg is in the Department of Computer Science in the "Media Informatics and Multimedia Systems" (Prof. Dr. S. Boll) to the next appointment a job as research assistant (m/f/d) (fee group 13 TV-L, 100%) for three years. The prerequisites for employment are a degree with above-average completed scientific university studies (master or diploma) in computer science or a related Master's program, team spirit and very good English language skills in spoken and written. Due to the orientation of the working group In-depth previous knowledge in the field of human-technology interaction, conception, Development and evaluation of interactive systems required. Furthermore, previous knowledge in the areas of Tangible, Embedded, Embodied Interaction and Smart Home with special focus on human-technology interaction desirable. In the project "RIME - Rich Interactive Materials for Everyday Objects in the Home", the task will be to investigate human interaction with sensors, actuators and the integration of touch-based interaction in everyday materials to research to support the natural handling of the smart home of the future. There will be an opportunity for doctoral studies. The position is suitable part-time. The Carl von Ossietzky University strives to increase the proportion of women in the scientific field increase. + The Lead Developer role is to manage all technical development of the company, including websites, shipping portals, and customer portals.
+ This includes designing, building, and implementing new Web pages and sites; integrating sites with back end applications; migrating legacy applications to the Web; and performing day-to-day administration of the organization's Web portfolio.
+ Use of a variety of Web development languages is required, with an emphasis on Python 3.6, PHP, and Wordpress.
+ Demonstrated in-depth experience with E-Commerce and web application technologies, especially in the areas of writinical or functional guidance to the team as needed within a specific discipline.
+ Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains and/or enhances existing or new systems that are reliable and efficient.
+ A strong understanding of project management and project planning.
+ Experience with database technologies, RDBMS (ideally Postgres), Key-Value (ideally Redis), and Data warehouse (ideally Redshift).
+ Familiar with Python frameworks - Django, FastAPI (not required).
+ Front end technologies - HTML, CSS, Angular or similar frameworks.
