Gold asteroid may be a blob of space debris ☄️
Most asteroids are composed of rocks and ice. But Psyche is claimed by astronomers to be a treasure trove of precious metals, including gold. Its reserves are staggering: the object was estimated to be worth 10 quintillion dollars.
Yet the new theory has disappointed those who have already dreamed of mining in space. The study suggests that the object is just an accumulation of space debris. And a third of its volume is taken up by voids.

Jet-powered truck
How to accelerate an old 1985 Peterbilt up to 600 km/h? That's right, to scrap the old engine and strap three turbines to it.
The result is the Shock Wave racing car, which is able to beat an airplane on the runway. It successfully does it for show, burning waste cars with fiery exhaust at the same time.
However, it needs about 454 liters of fuel for this very mile (1.6 km).

Mammatus clouds are a very beautiful natural phenomenon that is associated with thunderstorms.
If you see such clouds - it is better to find shelter, as they are the harbingers of ball lightning

AI designs its own robots
RoboGrammar is the name of an AI project from researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The algorithm, devoid of the modern engineers' traditional approach, is able to assess the particular conditions in which the future robot will be used, as well as propose a number of bot design concepts and test them in virtual reality.
The AI doesn't care whether the robot has four legs or seven. Or maybe it shall be a combination of wheels and wings. What matters is efficiency!

Looks like a snake, doesn’t it?
Scientists from the Harvard used the ancient Japanese art of KIRIGAMI to create their robot snake SEAS.
Scientists carved scales into the paper body of the bot, so these scales become flexible as it moves, clinging to the surface in the same way as its natural twins – snakes.
