Nissan has developed the GTR-X concept car, a rolling exoskeleton of the future
GTR-X cannot be built in a conditional "tomorrow", but it is an excellent visualization of how young professionals see the future and what technologies need to be developed to realize it.
The car itself, as conceived by the designer, is an exoskeleton designed to move a person along public roads. This is not a car or a transport platform, but something like a spacesuit.
The GTR-X concept car was constructed around the human body. To slip inside, drivers will pop the GTR-X's top, and lie flat on their belly — a position ideal for low-drag aerodynamics.
