A military plane carrying at least 85 people, crashed in the southern Philippines after missing a runway on Sunday.

92 people, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Philippines, were on board the military transport aircraft C-130H, which crashed today in the province of Sulu.

At least 40 people were saved and at least 17 people have been killed.

The operation at the crash site continues.
