UN: World facing “CLIMATE CATASTROPHE” as countries fall short on commitments (Report)

The world is on track for “climate catastrophe” according to a published report from the UN that shows countries’ plans to cut emissions fall short of curbing dangerous warming.

The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) said even with updated pledges the world faces global warming of about 2.7 Celsius [37 Fahrenheit] by 2100.

To avoid this rise in temps, emissions must be cut by an additional 13 billion tonnes [14.3 billion US tons] by 2030, the report said.
