As Russia’s daily COVID deaths reached an all-time record high of 1247, preventative measures have been extended into 2024, although they could be scaled back earlier if the situation dramatically improves.
Deputy PM Tatiana Golikova announced last week that Russia would adopt some of the world’s strictest COVID measures, with QR codes mandated for entry to cafes, stores and venues from February 2022.
