​​The Kentucky senator also offered a vision of how the country might adapt to the virus: staffing restaurants and cruise ships with people who have already had COVID-19, arguing that their assumed immunity from the virus would make such situations far safer.

“If I owned a restaurant, I’d have a whole wing for senior citizens or for anybody who is worried about getting sick, and I would say, all my servers have already had it,” Paul told the crowd. “If I had a cruise ship... everybody would have had the infection that works on the boat.”

Aside from the other issues presented by this scenario—contracting COVID-19 not from servers but from other guests, for example—the science on immunity from the virus is not yet fully understood. Paul, who contracted COVID-19 himself in March, has insisted that those who had the virus are immune, perhaps permanently.

CHICAGO - A woman stabbed an employee more than two dozen times while another woman held him by the hair after they were told to wear a mask inside a West Side store, according to police. Jessica Hill, 21, and Jayla Hill, 18, each face a count of attempted murder in the Sunday attack that left the worker in critical condition, Chicago police said. They entered a small shop about 6 p.m. in the 3200 block of West Roosevelt Road and were greeted by an employee who asked them to put on face masks and use hand sanitizer by the front door, police spokeswoman Karie James said. The pair refused and began to argue with the employee, a 32-year-old man, James said. The women were arrested at the scene, James said. They were both treated for minor lacerations at St. Anthony Hospital. They are expected to appear for a bail hearing later Tuesday.

The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit is looking to identify / locate the vehicle, depicted in the following surveillance video excerpts, as part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting death of an eighteen year old male, that occurred on Sunday, May 31st, 2020, in the unit block of N. Hobart Street. The vehicle, described as a late model Ford Fusion, dark in color (either black or dark blue), is observed following the victim who is riding a bicycle several blocks from the area of 60th & Market Streets to where the shooting occurs. The vehicle parks on Hobart Street with the driver remaining in the vehicle, while three (3) males, described as young Black males, exit the vehicle and at least two of the males fire close to twenty (20) shots at the victim, killing him and wounding three additional males who were in the block at the time of the shooting.
