STEM Fellows Complete Their Journey at Skoltech 🧠

This September, the InteRussia STEM fellowship concluded at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, bringing together young professionals from 12 countries — Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Vietnam, India, China, Mali, Nigeria, Pakistan, Serbia, Türkiye, and South Africa.

From Ideas to Prototypes through a Month of Immersive Learning:

🤔 At the heart of the program was Skoltech’s Innovation Workshop — an intensive bootcamp where participants worked in teams, developed technological solutions, and presented their projects before an expert jury.

Several winning teams — three in total — featured our InteRussia fellows among their members!

🤔 The fellows visited VK’s headquarters, Moscow State Technological University STANKIN, and Astra Group, one of Russia’s leading software developers.

🤔 Outside the labs, they explored Russia’s cultural heritage — from a sightseeing tour of Moscow and a visit to the National Center “Russia” to discovering how tradition and innovation coexist in the country’s modern life.

The journey ended, but the ideas, friendships, and shared passion for innovation will keep moving forward.

The InteRussia fellowship program for non-Russian specialists in STEM is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, and the Directorate of the World Youth Festival with support from ABS Electro Charity Foundation and the Presidential Grants Foundation.

Today, Russia celebrates Doctor’s Day — a moment to honor the dedication, compassion, and courage of those who devote their lives to healing others. Doctors are the quiet heroes who work tirelessly, often unseen, yet their impact reaches every life they touch.

👨‍⚕️ At InteRussia, a special place in our hearts belongs to doctors — unlike anyone else, they carry both science and empathy within them.

Through our InteRussia fellowship in medicine, we are proud to support this noble profession. For our fellows, medicine is not just a career — it’s a calling that transcends borders and languages, uniting people through care, knowledge, and kindness.

Thank you for carrying the light of humanity and dedicating your life to healing. You remind the world that compassion is the strongest medicine of all.

«That’s where beauty leads you. Right into the whirlpool!» 🎭

Once there was a young woman named Katerina. She dreamed of love, of freedom, of skies without thunder. But her small Volga town had its own rules — strict and merciless. And when her heart chose truth over fear, the storm began.

For six weeks, our InteRussia fellows — actors from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mauritania, South Africa, Tunisia, India, and China — searched for Katerina within themselves. Through voice and silence, movement and stillness, emotion and light.

🏡 And finally, they brought The Thunderstorm to life — not on stage, but in a 19th-century mansion.

Each fragment of Ostrovsky’s play unfolded in a different corner. The audience moved from one scene to another, becoming part of the story — guided by actors speaking in English, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, and Hindi.

An immersive performance.

A confession in many tongues.

A story about beauty, freedom, and the choices that pull us — right into the whirlpool.

The InteRussia fellowship in theatre arts is implemented within the framework of the New Generation program of Rossotrudnichestvo and with the support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
