Behind the fellowship equator, we are summing up the interim results ✏️

Our journalists successfully completed two weeks of fruitful work, during which they visited:

🟡5️⃣ large-scale events — they took part in international conferences, met with top government officials and leading experts, as well as asked them countless questions;

🟡1️⃣0️⃣ lectures and 1️⃣ workshop at Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency — they discussed the future of the world media system, international news agency strategies on social media platforms, content production techniques, and many other topics devoted to journalism and social media development;

🟡1️⃣ excursion to the exhibition-forum International Russia Expo.

InteRussia fellows still have to visit the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia and the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, take part in the numerous practical workshops with MIA Rossiya Segodnya's experts, and enjoy artworks at the Tretyakov Gallery 🔥

The East is a delicate matter🏮

On July 9, our journalists met with Alexey Maslov, Director of the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University.

"Meeting with Dr. Maslov at Lomonosov Moscow State University was truly a remarkable experience. He was not only insightful and analytical but also had a genuine passion for sharing his knowledge about China and Southeast Asia. I was impressed by his ability to explain complex concepts, such as "The ring, the road", in a clear and concise manner. One hour was not enough for our conversation, truly!" — Quang Bui, TV Anchor and correspondent at VTV, shared his impressions.

Today the fellows visited the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia, where they had a fruitful conversation with Elena Burova, Research Fellow of the Center for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies.

"Participating in this fellowship gave me the opportunity to meet many experts, including Ms. Burova. I was interested in the lecture material she presented, especially the economic relations between Russia and Indonesia. She made me want to dig more into the issue of the Indonesia-Russia free trade agreement, which has not yet been reached. I will be happy to ask for her opinion on various issues not only in the context of Indonesia-Russia but also Russia-ASEAN," — Khairisa Ferida, Deputy Editor at Liputan6, noted after the meeting.

July 12 turned out to be a long and productive day for our journalists 🚀

📌The first stop they made on their route was Uralchem Group’s press briefing.

Uralchem Group is the leading producer of fertilisers and chemical products in Russia and is among the largest players worldwide. Uralchem’s products are based on the latest trends in the global market of mineral fertilisers and industrial chemistry.

Dmitry Konyaev, General Director of JSC Uralchem, welcomed our journalist. Moreover, Uralchem's employees told our fellows about agricultural trends, digital products, and research activities of the organization, as well as Uralchem's main products for Asian countries.

📌Then, our fellows visited the Gorchakov Fund.

Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund, presented the key Fund's activities and possible prospects for cooperation following the fellowship.

At the end of each meeting, the programmes' participants received branded merch from organizations 🎁

Over the weekend, our journalists managed to run a marathon through the Moscow museums, go in search of a Russian traditional costume, ride a river tram, or even go to Saint-Petersburg.

Our fellows' four-week journey to Russia has come to an end 📹

On July 19, our journalists from Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Phillipines, and Vietnam attended the closing ceremony of the InteRussia fellowship programme at the site of the Gorchakov Fund.

They were addressed by

🔵Vasily Pushkov, Director of International Cooperation at Sputnik International News Agency and Radio;
🔵Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director at the Gorchakov Fund.

For a month, our fellows spent many hours of practical work at Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency, where they learned more about technologies and principles of content creation, took part in international conferences and forums, became acquainted with Russian culture, and found good friends in each other.

Today they remembered the most amazing moments and discussed the opportunities for future cooperation. The event concluded with the fellows receiving certificates.
