According to analyst Mark Gurman, Apple software chief Craig Federighi has tasked engineers with developing as many new AI chips for iOS 18 as possible, which will include the ability to control apps via Siri.
The new feature will work system-wide, but initially only in Apple's own apps. The company will also provide APIs to developers to implement the feature in third-party apps.
The release of the innovation should be expected no earlier than 2025. Nevertheless, the feature will probably be announced as early as 10 June during WWDC 24.

The deal between OpenAI and Apple, which will be announced at WWDC, ‘scared’ Microsoft.
Once the new AI features are integrated into iOS 18, which will be powered by OpenAI technologies, a large number of servers will be needed to keep them running smoothly. ChatGPT and other OpenAI products run on Microsoft's servers, so it is now puzzled about how to meet the growing demand for servers in the future.
In addition, OpenAI's partnership with Apple will mean competition with Copilot, Microsoft's own chatbot, which is based on OpenAI's technology. But from a financial point of view, Microsoft is likely to get more money from the Apple and OpenAI deal.

$3 trillion is the total value of all of the company's outstanding shares. Nevertheless, chipmaker Nvidia stole the moment. It only crossed the $3 trillion mark for the first time ever, but it overtook Apple to become the world's second most valuable company as of market close today, trailing only Microsoft.
Apple became the world's first $3 trillion company in January 2022, and it has recrossed that mark several times since then. However, this is the first time that Apple has dropped to be the world's third most valuable company since 2019.

'Passwords' will move 🔐
Apple plans to introduce a new Passwords app in iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15.
The Passwords app, which will serve as an alternative to third-party apps, will provide a simpler way for iPhone, iPad, and Mac users to access their stored login information.
There's already a Passwords feature built into Apple's operating systems, but it is hidden in the Settings app and it can be a little difficult to find for those who are not familiar with it.
Apple's aim with the Passwords app is to encourage customers to use stronger passwords and avoid repeating passwords for multiple websites and services.
🔐 How often do you use the 'Passwords' feature while using devices?

Apple will bring several new features to its messaging service: besides new visual effects when sending messages and the ability to send a delayed message, there will be a greatly expanded list of reactions to leave by double-tapping a message.
The Tapback system will work with any emoji starting on iOS 18. This means the Messages app would finally support in-line emoji reactions, a feature that other messaging apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, and Telegram have offered for a long time.
It is unclear if the revamped Tapback system will also work with the AI-generated emoji feature previously reported to be coming with iOS 18.

🤔 It turns out that the name ‘AI’ has not been branded by anyone.
So now AI is not Artificial intelligence, but Apple Intelligence.
🤖 Apple expects to launch several new product categories by 2030, and AI will help it a lot. The company is developing a robot that will be able to help people with limited mobility do common household chores. There have even been discussions within the company about creating a humanoid robot.

In addition to VisionOS, Apple Intelligence and the grand iOS18, which beta is being tested right now (and incidentally some bugs alredy found, for example on the iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro if Always-On Display the device can endlessly go into reboot) there is more OS and features that upgraded.
Menu customisation in all native apps, icons customisation as in the new iOS, and the boosted calculator will even support handwritten maths problems - even in the Notes app. Handwriting recognition will learn to correct errors and erase text by strikethrough.
・iPhone Mirroring – so now, you can literally see your iPhone screen on macBook. You'll also be able to receive app notifications directly on your mac, not just SMS like before.
・The Passwords app will store all your passwords and authorization codes in one place across all your devices.
・Safari is faster and more efficient, and has learned to highlight important information and make short summaries. In addition improved video handling and video playback.
・There will be more games, even more advanced and powerful thanks to Game Porting Tool Kit 2.
In short, everything will get smarter and more convenient. What upgrade are you most excited about?

Apple Intelligence will make
It will allow users to ask the system to paraphrase text, summarise messages or emails, generate images and emoji. The Siri assistant will also get a significant improvement – it will now be able to understand the context of what is shown on the screen of the user's device, as well as provide advanced control over various aspects of its operation, and will be able to interact with apps.
However, not all users will be able to take advantage of the new AI feature due to hardware limitations even after upgrading to iOS 18, iPadOS 18 or macOS 15. Since some AI features require local processing, the following hardware is required for them to work:
・iPhone based on A17 Pro chip or newer (iPhone 15 Pro at least)
・iPad based on Apple M1 chip or newer
・Mac computers with Apple M1 chip or later

Recently, Samsung Mobile US official X handle has posted some stuff that directly trolls Apple’s lack of feature availability. In the first post, it said “Adding Apple doesn’t make it a new or groundbreaking welcome to AI. With this statement, the Korean giant mocked Apple’s absence of AI power features.
In the next post, Samsung counts the basic functionality of moving application icons from one place to another; it says this function has been available on Galaxy devices since 2010.
Moving my icons wherever I want since 2010 … isn't that cool?
