TIL: Transracial people are real and it is not what you think it is.
I am putting this out here as it is pride month which also brings with itself some unnecessary hate and a lot of misconceptions. In fact, I myself used to be one of those to ridicule people who label themselves transracial and I will openly admit to my mistakes. But! Transracial is not just a term for wackos who claim to be a different ethnicity than the one they were born as, it is also a term for children adopted by parents of a different race. Those kids/people have a whole lot of issues to deal with that society already throws at them and now they also fall under the category of 'let's laugh at transracials because we associate the term with racists and generally bad people'. And I think we should all educate ourselves on that, before we choose to hate someone just because of a grossly misused label.
