برای جلد نرم از کاغذ گلاسه ضخیم استفاده میشه که کاملا انعطاف پذیر هست. جلد سخت یا گالینگور، از مقوای ضخیم برای جلد استفاده میشه و استحکام خیلی بالایی نسبت به جلد نرم داره. برای کتاب های با تعداد صفحات بالا (700-800 صفحه بالا) جلد سخت پیشنهاد میشه. برای صحافی فنری، از جلد نرم و یک طلق روی جلد استفاده میشه.
