Conservatives are mad because a college student was asked to write a 650 word essay about an article on gender norms and she was given 0/25 points because she quoted the bible and called queer people demonic
Read the essay it seems written by a 12 year old not by an actual adult

This seriously cannot be an adult in Year 3 of college.
"On purpose for a purpose."
This shit is clownish. She deserves the F.

Oh boy, I bet she thought that was clever. Guess all that stuff about tolerating and not judging others and loving your neighbors doesn't apply because... Your feelings about Jesus when even Jesus would have probably been cool with homosexuals and may have engaged in homosexual romance himself depending on how much you want to read into things.
Canonically, he personally didn't. The only mentions in the New Testament regarding homosexuality are written by Paul, a man who never actually met Jesus and whose original works we do not have and there is much dispute to how homosexuality is described as most likely referring to Pagan (Hellenic, et al.) practices that in more modern terms would translate to statutory rape and pedophilia.
That's even assuming the lines weren't inserted later as early manunoscripts had some such as in 2 Corinthians were side notes interpolated onto the text. 1 Timothy may be inauthentic and 2 Timothy definitely was not written by the same author. Recent linguistic evidence show Paul's works went through many hands. And let's be real: the idea manunoscripts were perfect is a fantasy.
In other words: given Jesus' treatment of other characters in the bible that could be read as queer, he personally doesn't seem to care. If it never seems to be an issue in the gospels themselves, it's very likely it isn't.
I'd love to do a deeper dive on this when I am not high AF. I got some good weed.

"the article was very thought provoking and caused me to throughly evaluate the idea of gender and the role it plays in our society"
translation: i read the first couple sentences and freaked out and sent it to my priest and am now going to regurgitate for you what he told me
