Reminder that Facebook / Meta does not respect transgender people. I was banned from Meta's network for life for "refusing to use my 'real' / legal name" when Facebook explicitly says it allows use of nicknames and pen names. They let cisgender men named Richard call themselves Dick but god forbid I call myself Jasmine and use the nickname Jazzy.

To boot, even using Jasmine was too much and they demanded I use my "real" name. I go by Jazzy IRL. It is my "real name."

This is in addition to the fact the biggest players on Facebook were consistently anti-transgender propaganda accounts from such organizations as the Daily Wire. Rules were applied unfairly and moderators consistently sided with harassers bombarding my account with some of the most vile hate I've ever seen.

Don't join any Meta-owned website. They don't give a Hank about transgender folk and actively work to enable harassers and hate-speech on their networks despite their protests otherwise.

Do not use Threads / Facebook / Instagram. Meta talks to cops. They will give your information to the police without a warrant.
