Hot take: Okay, I know a lot of people are might drag me through the ringer on this, but mid-century futurism is the coolest mass commericial art movement and ever since its deprecation the American aestethic has gotten ever more more drab and dull.

Today's white and grey minimalism can be seen as a reaction to the colorful worlds of the past generations up to the Memphis movement.

The fiscalization of our own environment for immediate resale and profit has stolen from us the the "character" of our communities, replaced art with advertisements, and alienated us from the very communities and homes we dwell in. The message of commercial minimalism is clear —this community is not yours.
