⬆️ Concerned whenever I see these protests in Iran that it's not going to end well for the protestors.

They are really not nice people in charge over there.

Long time ago, in my 20's, had a roommate named Ali, at an old apartment where I lived for a while. A great guy who I ended up sharing a residence with for about six months. He was Iranian. One of the hardest working people I knew at the time. Held down one full time and two part time jobs to pay all his expenses and help his relatives as much as he could.

Told me a story about how before his family came to the U.S., some relatives of his were murdered in Iran, by the regime, for protesting - and that the government mailed them an invoice for the price of the assasination, with the threat that if they didn't pay it, they'd be next.

Always remembered that.

Not really sure what to do about it. On the one hand, many of us want to stay out of never-ending international conflicts. On the other hand, seems like a awul regime that's been in power for a long time over there with not much positive energy to offer the world.

International politics. Complicated.

Heavenly Father, we stand in awe of Your mighty hand as it moves with divine purpose. Throughout history, Your Word has shown how You raise up and bring down kingdoms according to Your perfect will.

Father, we witness today Your sovereign authority displayed across distant lands where people have suffered for a long time. We see swift changes that unfold before our eyes, as we are thoughtful about prophecies.

Holy Spirit, as momentous events reshape the Middle East, we pray that You will grant wisdom to our nation's leaders and military personnel. Shield them as they defend freedom. When enemies plot destruction, we rejoice that You transform their evil plans into opportunities for Your divine purpose.

Lord, we pray for peace throughout the region. As sudden transformation brings uncertainty, we ask that You guide those newly freed from oppression toward governance that respects human dignity and religious liberty. May Your truth find fertile soil where persecution once reigned.

Father, in these pivotal times when Your prophetic Word seems to unfold before us, we pray that You will unite Your believers in prayer. Help us remember that while nations rise and fall, Your throne remains eternally secure. We trust in the name of the Lord our God.

We pray for the protection of innocent lives amidst these historic changes. Though warfare brings sorrow, we seek Your mercy for civilians caught in conflict, while rejoicing that Your justice prevails.

Grant us discernment as we navigate these momentous days, that we may understand the times. Let Your word arise as a beacon of hope, pointing many to salvation in Christ as events remind us of Your sovereign control over all human history.
