당뇨 치료제중, 인슐린 투여가 필수적인 1형 당뇨에 대한 세포치료제 개발도 활발히 진행중입니다.
어제 Vertex(VRTX US)는 1형 당뇨 환자에 대한 동종 줄기세포 유래 췌도 세포 대체 요법 VX-880에 대한 첫번째 데이터를 공개했습니다.
면역억제제와 목표 용량의 절반의 VX-880을 1회 주입하였을 때,
투여 후 90일 째 공복 C-peptide은 280pmol/L, 당화혈색소는 8.6%에서 7.2%로 , 하루 인슐린 투여량은 34단위에서 2.9단위로 감소했습니다.
