I don’t feel any particular way about a Trump victory this time around.
Trump is the more interesting choice but his support for Israel is weird. It’s weird because there isn’t any legitimate moral reason to support Israel. They’re a foreign ethnocentric nation-state propped up almost entirely by deception.
There’s four reasons why a person loves Israel and none of them appeal to anybody with a sound mind and clear conscience:
The first reason is the obvious one, they’ve taken bribes or are on some sort of payroll.
The second is blackmail. Everyone has demons and getting information about persons of interest (or their family members) then using that information as leverage is typical politics these days.
The third reason is because the person is one of those fanatical Pentecostal Christians, who thanks to Jewish preachers (regularly invited into these churches) are more fanatical about supporting Israel than they are about anything truly Christian. They’re the kind of people hoodwinked by the: “Jesus was a Jew, there would be no Christianity without the Jews” message.
This reason is particularly depressing when you consider how much the Jews actually despise Christians.
The fourth reason is because the person (or a beloved family member) is actually Jewish and believes in the holy ‘chosenness’ (read: ethnic superiority) of the Jewish race.
I’m not sure which of these reasons apply to Trump but at least one of them does and it ruins the vibe.
