Adoption – DASH SMS Service

As Venezuelans suffer the repercussions of gross fiscal policy mismanagement $DASH may be the lone saviour.

Dash recently announced the launch of its newest service Dash Text for the market in Venezuela. The new service allows crypto transactions via SMS or SMS, eliminating the need for smartphones and the internet.

According to Bradley Zastrow, Global Head of Business Development, Dash Text targets Venezuelan markets, which are said to be their largest market.

Citing what he said, “Venezuelans living abroad are sending an estimated USD $ 2 billion back to their homes. This process often takes too long and costs too much, making it an enormous point of pain for many users.”

Furthermore, he added, “We offer real solutions to real problems with Dash Text. People need easy and cheap ways to send money home, and we have done so in a way that extends the Dash ecosystem to smartphones! Dash Text offers the perfect solution to ensure that everyone can join the Dash family, irrespective of what the phone owns.”

How to use Dash Text is easy, users have to send 2 text messages to 2265, the first one is “DASH” to register, followed by “CREAR” to create their Dash wallet. After this simple step, users can send and receive Dash seamlessly via SMS.

Dash Text is currently under beta testing and two of Venezuela's largest telecommunications providers, Movistar and Digitel, have already confirmed support for the service.

The resultant price action saw a 13% rise in the price of $DASH. We were not in on this trade but we are still pleased to see some real world adoption of cryptocurrency really helping those in need. $DASH is making waves in the third world remittance market and this could be the start of something great. We would love to hear what you guys think of this latest step towards adoption and if you have had any qualms using the ancient remittance services available today such as Western Union.
