¡Estamos muy emocionadas de invitarte a la primera edición de Dolls Summer: un retiro de verano Transfem*!
Este encuentro es una oportunidad para reunirnos como dolls, relajarnos, pensar colectivamente sobre lo que significa ser un cuerpo transfemenino en el contexto político actual, compartir saberes y experiencias — y, por supuesto, disfrutar del sol, el mar y sentirnos sexys!
Esta convocatoria está abierta a personas transfem*, dando prioridad a las candidaturas de personas racializadas, migrantes, trabajadoras sexuales y personas de zonas rurales o desconectadas — queremos centrar a quienes tienen menos acceso a espacios y redes transfem*. ¡Animamos a todas a postular!

Trans & Queer Cancer Retreat:
a gathering to rest, support and exchange at la Bassa Mar
from 1st to 6st July 2025

We are happy to invite you to a trans*, inter, and queer space for those of us who currently are or have been directly affected by cancer. To exchange, relax, empower and learn from one another. To support each other in finding strategies to fight back not only the cancer but also the sexist, racist, ableist medical (and other) systems.

We will prioritize BIPoC and trans* people. Nobody will be left out for economical reasons, and we will try to accommodate any specific needs (dietary and otherwise) as much as we can.

Retiro para personas queer & trans atravesades por el cáncer:
un encuentro para descansar, apoyarse e intercambiar en la Bassa Mar
desde el 1 al 6 de julio

Nos hace ilusión invitarles a un espacio trans*, inter y queer para aquelles de nosotres que actualmente estamos o hemos estado directamente afectades por el cáncer. Para intercambiar, relajarnos, empoderarnos y aprender unxs de otres. Para apoyarnos mutuamente en la búsqueda de estrategias para luchar no sólo contra el cáncer, sino también contra los sistemas médicos (y otros) sexistas, racistas, capacitistas.

Priorizaremos a las personas racializadas y trans*. Nadie se quedará fuera por razones económicas, y trataremos de acomodar cualquier necesidad específica (dietética y de otro tipo) tanto como podamos.

In order to build bridges between and across different queer and trans* feminist academic research and grassroot collectives, we would like to invite you to join us after the European Feminist Research Conference in Barcelona. We will host a post conference retreat from 12th-15th July 2025 at our collective space La Bassa Mar. In the midst of the rise of fascism in Europe we want to network and strengthen our connections but also recharge in a rural space, far from this hostile political climate.

We are very happy to invite you to this summer retreat: this is an invitation to create a space where there’s no need to choose between participating in the gay codes or the alternative queer scene. As transmascs we often face a lack of access to gay and faggot spaces, and when we do get access, we sometimes encounter specific difficulties to move in them. This is why we are sharing this open call for all transmaculine faggots, giving priority to BIPoC people, and seeking the participation of people of different ages.

Estamos muy contentxs de invitarles a este retiro de verano: Esta es una invitación a crear un espacio donde no haya que elegir entre participar de los códigos marikas o de la escena queer alternativa. Como transmascus muchas veces nos enfrentamos a falta de acceso a los espacios gays y marikas, y cuando conseguimos acceder, a veces nos encontramos con dificultades específicas para movernos en ellos. Por esto es que compartimos esta convocatoria abierta para todas las marikas transmaculinas, dando prioridad a personas racializadas, y buscando la participación de personas de edades diversas.

We are so excited to invite you to the first edition of the queer SWANA retreat! This gathering is about coming together as North Africans, Imazighen, Kabyles, Persians, Kurds, Turks, Arabs...
We will celebrate our shared stories and diversity, from the Maghreb to the Mashreq, through moments of food, conversation, activities, and rest. We acknowledge that it is not easy to define exactly what “SWANA” means, and we see this retreat as an opportunity to reflect on it together, to define ourselves in our own words, outside of the Western vision of the world.

This call is open to all queer POC who are living in, coming from, or descended from any of the countries in the SWANA region. There will be a maximum of 18 participants. To cover the stay and food on site we will be asking for scaled contributions. We will prioritize applications from migrants, trans people, particularly transfemmes, as well as those of us living in rural areas or poor neighborhoods with less access to queer and trans spaces.

Estamos encantades de invitarte al primer retiro queer de SWANA. Este encuentro pretende reunirnos como Magrebíes, Imazighen, Cabilas, Persas, Kurdes, Turques, Árabes...
Para celebrar nuestras historias comunes y nuestra diversidad desde el Magreb hasta el Mashreq, a través de momentos compartidos de comida, debate, actividades y relajación. Es difícil definir con precisión lo que significa «SWANA», pero este retiro podría ser un momento privilegiado para reflexionar juntes sobre ello, para intentar definirnos con nuestras propias palabras, fuera de la visión occidental del mundo.

Esta convocatoria está abierta a todas las personas queer racializadas que vivan, procedan o desciendan de alguno de los países de la región SWANA. Habrá un máximo de 18 participantes. Para cubrir la estancia y la comida en el sitio vamos a pedir contribuciones escalonadas.

Daremos prioridad a las inscripciones de personas inmigrantes, personas trans y, en particular, transfeministas, así como a las personas que viven en zonas rurales y barrios pobres con menos acceso a servicios queer, servicios sanitarios y redes de solidaridad.
