The Naval St. Nicholas Cathedral in the city of Kronstadt.
 
🔻The fundraising for the construction of the cathedral began in 1897 at the request of Vice Admiral N.I. Kaznakov.

🔻In 1901 the project was approved by the architect V.A. Kosyakov, and 21.05.1901, it was officially approved. The civil engineer A.I. Viksel also contributed to the design of the cathedral.

🔻Services at the Naval St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kronstadt began in 1913 after the cathedral was completed and consecrated. 

🔻Marble plaques with the names of dead sailors and clerics of the Navy were installed inside the cathedral, the earliest dating back to 1696.

🔻During the Soviet era, the cathedral was used as a cinema, an observation post during GPW, and a museum of the Kronstadt Fortress. 

🔻Regular services resumed on 29.04.2012, after the consecration of the Naval Cathedral by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
