'Хмель' Борис Пастернак (1953)
'Hop' by Boris Pasternak (1953)
🇬🇧 "HOP"
Under a broom, entwined by ivy,
From rain, we’re hiding for the time.
A cloak protects our shoulders slightly,
My arms, around you, intertwined.
No, I was wrong. Among these shrubs,
Not ivy, but green hop has widened.
So, should we spread this cloak, perhaps,
Over the grass for us to lie on?
👇 In the comments to this post there is an audio file 🗣 , Russian and French texts of the poem.

Though it is considered to be a joke in the Russian segment of the Internet, my heartest congrats to all men of the world!

[ yaraslavl' ]
🔻In the 9th century the so-called Russian Khaganate formed, near Yaroslavl, a large Scandinavian-Slavic settlement in Timerevo.
🔻When excavations were carried out, a large number of artifacts, including Scandinavian weapons with runic innoscriptions, chess pieces, and the largest collection of Arabian coins in northern Europe, were found.
In Timerevo the fourth set of Scandinavian brooches ever found in Russia was discovered.
🔻Based on its earliest date of foundation, Yaroslavl is the oldest of all the existing towns on the Volga.
🔻Yaroslavl was founded by Yaroslav the Wise, a prince of Kievan Rus', during the period of his ruling the Principality of Rostov (988—1010). The name of the city is traditionally linked to that of its founder: Yaroslav.

[ sheveli boolkami ]
Literally:
Move the rolls (colloquial, rude).
🔻Асtually there are no rolls/buns here, only buttocks.
🔻If you’re told to 'шевелить булками' (move the rolls), you’re essentially being urged to hurry up or move faster.
🔻The choice of 'rolls' in this idiom adds a touch of whimsy.
• Шевели булками, мы опаздываем!
[ sheveli boolkami ]
🇬🇧 Move your ass! We're going to be late!
