Monopoly was originally a critique on the problems of capitalism, and had other rules that allowed for cooperation between players in a display of socialism.

Elizabeth Magie created the game in 1903, called "the Landlords Game", and it was the company that bought the rights and commercialized the game into "Monopoly" in the 1930s that removed and changed the rules to be how we know the game today.

Monopoly still remains as a great demonstration of the consequences of capitalism, along with now tense family/friend relationships.

All labor work is necessary for the function of society. Labor work is the backbone, getting it done. An architect may design a home, but it is the engineer and contractors that build the home! The viewed hierarchically lowest job of Society, a garbage man, is still essential. It's a dirty job that cleans our world and handles our garbage for us.

To say lower end jobs are "unskilled" is blatantly untrue. As every job has certain skills unique of each other. To call it unskilled is an excuse to mistreat and underpay workers.
