The Handmaid's Tale is an Important Novel written in a fictional future post war United States, where society is reformed to be male controlled and dominated, where women are treated as Objects and it is Enforced through Violence. The new government is a religious totalitarian regime that forced Conservative Victorian Era lifestyles on the people. The writings is the accounts of a Handmaiden; a woman.

The book points directly to the Importance of Individual Freedoms and Rights for All, to Resist against all Oppressive systems. Feminist idea is heavy in this book.

The book tells of suicide, of rape, of violence, because that describes the dystopia where people are sorted as objects, where religion and men dictate order and enforcement. Women are servants or used for Birthing. The Gay man is hanged with the Pink Triangle. And the Professor, who said the truth, is facing the wall. Any efforts to ban this book, is an insight of the real intent behind it.

“If a white man wants to lynch me, that's his problem. If he's got the power to lynch me, that's my problem.

Racism is not a question of attitude; it's a question of power. Racism gets its power from capitalism.

Thus, if you're anti-racist, whether you know it or not, you must be anti-capitalist. The power for racism, the power for sexism, comes from capitalism, not an attitude.”
