The constant overbearing amount of out-of-school "homework" assignments is done to condition children into accepting and normalizing unpaid overtime, excessive and ridiculous work hours, and inability to escape work even when out of it, as part of their future.

A student should be encouraged to explore the world and research and learn themselves when out of school, not be coerced into spending several more hours of their day doing the things they should be doing in school.

A teacher's inability to teach a class in a timely manner should not mean giving overbearing "homework" constantly to students.

The Immolation of Thích Quảng Đức was in protest of the South Vietnamese government, an oppressive regime controlled by the minority of Roman Catholicism.
