Points System / Get Rewarded For Every Action

We're introducing a new points system, with a complete overhaul of periodic rewards, — the update will properly incentivize your activity in the app

Points will be the criterium in the future iterations of rewards and incentives.

Get points for:

>every $1 of volume
>token creation
>referral volume (up to 45% of volume)
>mindshare

The new system will go live on Jan 6. Your scores will migrate at a 1 to 1 ratio.

We're adding an experimental feature of 1% token creation fee for referrals. We'll track how it runs and it its effect on platform growth for the next 7 days.

For you it means you're earning more on referrals: both from their volume and from the tokens their create

New points / new rewards

Scores are out, points are in — a new system that incentivizes activities in a balanced way and distributes current and future rewards based on your actual contribution.

You're rewarded for:

>trading
>token creation
>referral volume
>mindshare

There are now two leaderboards distributing rewards: general activity (tracking all activity) and mindshare mining. These have separate pools and weights, so mindshare no longer drains rewards from the general pool.

General activity rewards are distributed daily, while mindshare has a weekly leaderboard.

Your points carry real value, which is why we're strict about any fraudulent or unfair activity related to points gaming.

We've conducted a thorough review of inauthentic activity in mindshare and, based on data analysis, calibrated the points for those activities. Users who engaged in inauthentic behavior received their share of rewards in USDT, but we can't allow these scores to influence future reward distribution.

We still have some fine-tuning to do for mindshare, so it's coming tomorrow with a new system that's independent of engagement and based solely on account reputation.

Next iteration: something you're not going to believe

Between 13:30 UTC and 15:40 UTC, the system experienced unusually high load. This caused delayed chart updates and lag when opening or closing positions.

This was our fault, not a user issue. We take full responsibility.

As a result, 1,675 users who had negative PNL during this window will receive a refund.
The refund will be credited to your Catapult balance by end of day (UTC)

Wen token migration?

The new feature that will allow you to catapult your tokens on-chain is in final stages.

We're doing extensive testing now to make sure it works properly.

Migration is coming this week.

The app has completed an audit by Hashlock, a leading expert in smart contracts and blockchain security. Now the chart logic has been verified externally.

We remind our users that if they have basic knowledge of code, they can verify each chart themselves.

Each chart has a dedicated provably fair section with its unique identifier + we've published an in-depth explanation of the mechanic and how you can check both via the app UI and manually.
