A comet moth, emerged from its cocoon poised to take flight for the first time, its caterpillar dreams on gold wings.

During its brief existence of about 5 days, it embraces its purpose with determination and grace. It seeks out a partner, in an intricate dance of courtship, and contributes to the perpetuation of its species.

Despite the short duration of its life, the fulfilment is in carrying out its natural instincts and contributing to the larger tapestry of life

And for ourselves, this image of this new and precious life on the silks of its cocoon must undoubtedly signify that it’s ok to let go of limitations, in transformation, lies a potential for an extraordinary rebirth.

In medieval Germany, husbands and wives could settle their disputes through marital duels. The man fought with one arm tied behind his back in a hole, while the woman wore weighted clothing and used a sack filled with rocks as her weapon. If they couldn't resolve their differences peacefully, they would engage in the duel. The consequences were severe: the husband would be beheaded if he lost, and the wife would be buried alive.
