That's a store bought organic sweet potato sitting in soil. It will sprout over time. Those sprouts can then be cut when 6" & placed in a glass of water for 3 weeks until it establishes roots. These are called "slips" which then get planted into garden beds or large pots. Its the only way to grow & produce sweet potatos.

**Self pollinate not propagate lol. Propagate is when plants self seed & regrow others..
So when my citrus trees are inside over the colder months, once the flowers bloom they need to be pollinated to grow into fruit.
I do this by gently using a small paint brush..
Who says you can't grow lemons, limes, oranges over the winter in 🇨🇦
Just takes awhile.. My last harvest was last fall..
