Was there a scrapped storyline with Charlie?

I found a years old post where somebody offhandedly mentioned that Charlie could've possibly been corrupted when he was hung in the same way people like Sayid and members of Rousseau's crew were. I did some searching and didn't seem to find anyone else discussing this theory.

I feel like that would've explained a lot of the sloppy development where he goes dark Charlie on Locke and Sun and then it's all resolved and forgiven by the start of season 3. Developing Charlie in this direction would've forced them to go into explaining the smoke monster and secrets of the island a lot sooner, but then they did a complete 180 and decided to "redeem" Charlie.

Finished for 1st time today 🥺

Obviously I have a ton of questions, but right now I’d like to know y’all’s take on why the characters in the last season during the “sideflash” in LA all remember each other when they touch/meet. For example, when Sawyer is at the vending machine and runs into Juliette. They touch and have the memories of loving each other flood back without questioning anything. I guess I’m confused, because it seems the flash is what “would” happen if they never crashed or were perused by Jacob early in life. Halp!

Can someone explain the ending to me like I’m five?

I just don’t really understand it and maybe I’m stupid, I mean I missed so many of the hints and foreshadowing throughout the show that I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer was right in front of me. Which “reality” was real? What are we supposed to take away from the ending?

S1E5 just gets me more and more. I argue it’s the best episode. (Yes I’m heavily biased!)

I’ve seen it four times now and I cry every time, maybe more than the first times now that I have the whole story. I think I connect so hard to this episode because everyday I’m gaining more understanding about the effect of my parents on me. My mother was the alcoholic and my dad a gambling addict and they split right before knowing they were pregnant with me. They both continue to disappoint and hurt me and there’s something very heavy about the burden, that even when you finally see and “break free” from their game, there are so many layers of letting go and ways you may still have to hold on. Jack felt he had to take care of his parents until his father died—he couldn’t completely walk away and turn down his mother’s demand. His dad had to do the final worst thing to Jack after a lifetime of letting him down and putting him down. So when he’s in the airport and breaks down about how he needs it to be over… and when he finally takes out his anger when he finds the coffin… all of it. All of the feels!

The journey of Jack moving through grief and stepping into his role, how it was triggered by failure, driven by fear that his father instilled in him… to get to the iconic line of live together die alone… it would maybe be cliche if Mathew Fox didn’t act it so well and the story so accurate to what it’s like to have parents like this. At least, in my experience.

I think Jack really earns/deserves his noscript of hero. ❤️

Claire’s mom

Anyone else wish they could’ve seen Claire’s reaction to finding out her mom was awake and doing well? I mean why even show us her if we never see Claire find out anyway. And why didn’t she ask who Aaron was with on the mainland!!! I feel like they did this multiple times like showed us stuff that I would’ve loved for the characters to find out, like Libby being in the mental hospital with Hugo or John Locke working for the box company that Hugo owned… just little stuff like that

What do we think happened to all our characters after the show ended?

We know Hurley and Ben went on to run the island with Walt in tow. But what happened to Sawyer, Kate and the rest of the guys who left the island?

Sayid's bag

This isn't really as much of a spoiler as it is something I noticed in the background of a scene.
In LAX part 1, at about the 41 minute mark, when the plane lands and everyone is getting their bags from the overhead compartments, I'm wondering if anyone else noticed that when Naveen Andrews (Sayid, if course) puts his bag over his shoulder, he absolutely thwacks a random woman right in the face with the over the shoulder strap of the bag, right in the side of the face. I noticed on like my third re-watch and I'd like to belive that immediately after the director called "cut" that Naveen apologized profusely cause it was a pretty good slap...

Settle an argument for me

Me and my buddy were watching episodes 2-4 of S1 last night, and he's convinced that John Locke audibly said "legs, move" to get his legs to move. I think he's tweaking but idk

More Misinformation- The Paper S1 Episode 5

So in this episode one of the characters is being catfished as someone pretending to be Josh Holloway (but called something else). Eventually she finds out that he is an actor in a show called LOST and she is not dating him. It’s a cool episode. What is not cool however is a scene where she is watching S3 and venting to Sawyer on screen and her coworker says if it helps I think he’s dead for the whole show… are they serious! Pushing out that false info after all this time, it’s so annoying lol.
