Just finished Season 3

I had previously watched through mid season 5 during Covid lockdown, however I think I was so god damn high that I haven’t remembered a single damn thing since probably season 1. It’s actually baffling how little I remember. So I genuinely don’t know what’s gonna happen next. Plus that was 5 years ago.

I’ve been kinda bingeing it recently and my god I’m just obsessed. Even though I know the general perception of the ending being that they are all dead the whole time, I am aware this is not the case and am so fucking stoked to finish this show. I cannot explain how obsessed I am with this. Through the Looking Glass is peak. Brilliant television. I somehow had a notion of the flashback actually being a flash forward but the reveal still had my jaw on the floor. But Jack is speaking of his father still? Just… So much to look forward to. I’m rambling but I needed to express my enthusiasm. Wow. What a brilliant television show.

Was Locke gonna get fired in the real timeline anyway?

In the flash sideways Locke got fired from the box company for going on the Walkabout.

In the real timeline Locke never got fired because he never made it back to his box company. If he did, he would still get fired. Do you think that's how it would go?

The box company most likely fired him when Oceanic 815 was believed to have crashed. (If firing a dead person makes sense.)

Plot device for Lost that other shows don’t use

Just thought of something!

One of my favorite aspects of the show is the plot device of none of our main characters knowing each other before the show begins. A plane crash is obviously a great way to bring this idea into the show, but it got me thinking, are there any other television shows you can think of where the characters don’t know each other and they learn about each others backstories at the same time as the audience?

Right, I’m reposting this because it got removed a minute ago ago for spoiling. I had the spoiler in the noscript, so I’ll just put it in the denoscription.

Do Jack and Hurley become Demi-Gods when they drink from the water?

Have watched and loved enjoyed Lost every couple of years since it aired, and I don't know why, but up until now I've never noticed how terrible all of the Temple scenes are in Season 6 are.

Dogen & Temu Lennon where so terribly written. Dogen would have been more likable if he genuinely couldn't speak English and needed a translator, now he just kind of comes off as a giant asshole 😂😂
And It really makes no sense what they did to sayid

There’s something odd about the Oceanic Hotline Number…

So I was giving Lost a second watch and I’ve made it to Season 4 episode 2. I saw the scene where the fake plane is being broadcasted and I decided to call the number on the screen. Well for some reason it took me to a phone sex hotline… Don’t worry I didn’t click on any of the numbers I was told to press lol. I thought this was a joke from the producers but when I looked up the number on Wiki, it gave a full trannoscription of what’s supposed to be said and it didn’t mention anything about the phone sex at all. Is this a recent change? Did a phone sex hotline take over the number? I highly doubt this is what people heard when the number was fresh. Has anyone here also called the number?

Torches

How easily they have torches bothers me. Everyone has a torch and no one makes them.
Torches aren’t simply a rag on a stick. They require oil, resin, pitch, something.
One time I saw Locke wrap cloth around a stick, but only once.
I get it’s not a sexy thing to add to a show, but it bothers me.
