The saddest scenes for yall? I have watched all episodes (finally) - let's talk!

I only cried 4 times.

1) when Juliet died in the hatch - that was heartbreaking. Seeing Sawyer had character development in those 3 years, I was really rooting for them. All i kept screaming sobbing at the TV was "BUT THEY'RE GONNA BUY MICROSOFT!!!"

2) Jin & Sun moments.
First was when I thought Jin really died. Oh man that was such a roller coaster. When Sun and Hurley visited his grave in Korea. I was screaming, "WHY YOU DOIN MY MAN LIKE DIS. HE DIDN'T DO NUTHINGGG". My boyfriend watched Lost at this point so he tried his best not to spoil it, but I was so mad I literally had to lay down on the yoga mat and play soothing music HAHA imagine my scream of joy when I saw Jin floating in the ocean when the Frenchies picked him up in the ocean 😭

And of course the sub moment. Yoooo the emotional turmoil I was in, sobbing, going why! Why can't you just let these people be happy. Just let them be please. At some point I accepted that at least they died together AND THEN CAME THE SCENE WHERE THEIR BODY FLOAT AWAY FROM EACH OTHER UNDERWATER. YOOOOOOO THAT WAS SO UNNECESSARY 😭 I HAD TO PAUSE THE EPISODE and lay down on my calming yoga mat again to wind down. That messed me up hahahahaah i literally can only watch Lost on my off days because it messes up my sleep, i will stay up replaying the scenes thinking why the hell did the writers did that.

3) When Juliet and Sawyer remembered each other in front of the vending machine. This one is more of a happy sobs and tears. I was screaming like "HECK YEAH, THE ONLY COUPLE I'LL CRY FOR AGAIN AND AGAIN" They deserved that scene (and me). Damn, Lost did a number on me yall.

Bonus: everytime something bad happen to Sayid - I'll always scream "why can't you just let this man be happy, 😭 I'm glad he got his moments with Shannon. Still kinda rooting for him with Nadia, but I guess sometimes the island (the island) will decide for ya.

Bonus1.1: When MIB said John Locke's final thought was "I don't understand" oh jesus that broke me. Didn't cry, but my chest hurts from that. I'm so glad I finished it all inserts broken chain over wrists meme here

Share and talk to me here in the comments! My friends don't really watch Lost and me and my boyfriend have been waiting for us to finish watching it so that I can geek it out here!! (avoiding checking here while watching because yall post spoilers 🤣) I'm excited to make friends!!

What are some good Lost YouTube channels or Lost video series?

I really enjoy Lost Explained and just trying to scratch that itch some more.

First rewatch since I watched it on air

I am absolutely blown away at all the connections there really are in this show. Things I never noticed when I first watched it. It's like a surprise all over again. Genius writing 😭

I feel like this show could really connect with a broader audience

Each character has some kind of trauma that they go through before coming to the island that creates roadblocks for them in their lives. I think trauma can be overused a bit sometimes but it seems like due to social media people are able to recognize their past trauma and how that informs how they live their lives in the present. A lot of us are victims of our trauma and don’t even realize what it has taken away from us and how it controls us.

I think there’s a really relevant commentary in Lost about grief, self doubt, isolation, and even self fulfilling prophecy among others that you don’t often see in tv shows, especially among adult characters.

There are so many people that can see themselves in Locke, Sayid, Jack, Hurley, and the whole gang.

Rewatching this show as an adult after originally watching it when I was 19 (an adult but not really) has really changed the show for me from being cool to being cathartic.

Watching for the first time

I'm on season 4. Just finished episode 8 and what the hell even is this show anymore? Not saying it's bad, just the direction. I keep having more questions than answers! Are we even going to get to know what the smoke monster is? I've been watching a couple of episodes a night and keep having to take a break to process everything. Shut is wild. Also, how they gonna do my boy Jin like that?! Hurley is a bro...that's my thoughts for now.

SPOILER! Ending constellation for future protectors

For me one of the best scene in the series was when Hurley got declared as the new protector and Ben being his support 🥹I could watch a whole series with both of them taking care of the island and doing Jacob things. Just an awesome ending. Sadly we don’t see any scenes about this team taking care and living their lives together

Currently watching S4, the losties have some god-level restraint not to kill Ben

From a storytelling perspective, I get that his character is too valuable to just nonchalantly kill off. He is the main villain and his actor is just too good. But within universe, he is so much more trouble than he could ever be worth. I don't care what info he has, the guy kidnapped and tortured several members of the group, tried to stop them from leaving the island at every step and shot John on the stomach before throwing him in the mass grave of the community he genocided. He lies every single time he opens his mouth and everybody knows it. You can't tell me that no one would have jumped this guy at this point. And yeah, it's very hard to psych yourself up to kill someone, but it's not like most of them haven't done it before. The fact that Jack made an attempt on Locke of all people, but not Ben, just sends me. Locke was kinda pissing me off too, but priorities, man.

Rousseau has it right, honestly. The man ripped her baby out of her arms, left her to hopelessly search for them for 16 years and still has the fucking gall to call Alex "my daughter". Can't blame her from wanting to beat him to a pulp.

I'm suspending my disbelief here because he is a very effective villain and I love to hate him. But they really should have done away with him already, lol.

And Sayid saying "the day I trust him is the day I sell my soul" right before the reveal that he is now working for him broke my heart. Sayid has so much untapped hero potential, I can't believe this is where his arc goes. Thanks for brainwashing my favorite character, asshole.

The Black Rock Meeting

I've listened to Lost Explained Part Two and the author mentioned that Man in Black appeared as Richard's wife Elizabeth while he was handcuffed. However, for Man in Black he needs a body to transform in dead person. How would he do that? What are you theories? Did I miss something?

Episode SOS

There's some really sad episodes, most obvious ones being where people die, but for some reason this episode always makes me ball my eyes out😭😭 just the love that Bernard has for Rose and him wanting to get her back home so bad only for Rose to tell him shes cured as long as they stay on the island 😭😭 my god, water works
