Was Horace in Locke's dream the MIB?
In Cabin Fever, he's been dead 12 years and MIB knows about the cabin and presumably the DI bodies in the mass grave as well. On the other hand, Locke has dreams and visions involving Losties (Boone, etc) who are unlikely to be the MIB. Since MIB seems relatively shortsighted and typically manipulates people for a specific, imminent purpose (Jack finding fresh water, trying to poke Jacob), I feel like he's probably not appearing as Horace but I'm curious on theories.

Shannon - Inhaler = Dead Shannon
Bit of a specific throwback - Do you think that the show got across to the audience the severity of Shannon not having her inhaler? As in, that there was a very real possibility that she could have died?
If you check the noscript, you'll see that, originally, it was going to be two socks: a husband and wife (Richard and Marybeth), not Boone and Shannon at the centre of the story.
Maggie Grace's acting was fantastic (IMO) throughout her struggling scenes but through all of my rewatches through all of my years, I feel like the show didn't appropriately telegraph that there was a real possibility that Shannon could die - making Jack's leap to being so okay with torturing Sawyer seem a bit out of the blue. (Of course, if his character thinks she could die, that could take him to that extreme place - but my thought here is that the show didn't get that across as much as it could have.)
Unless you know or have known someone to suffer from severe asthma, perhaps the severity doesn't come across? Personally, I had asthma inhalers as a kid but had never had an attack like Shannon's. And in movies and television, asthma inhalers are usually associated with nerds who are nervous or who ran out of breath after a short jog, so maybe I didn't process what was happening to her in the same way that another viewer with different knowledge/experiences to me would.
Since learning about Richard and Marybeth, I flip-flop between thinking that the sudden emergence of a disposable character like a sock might have given the inhaler story more urgency, myself.
Anyway, just my thought of the day. A nice light one - haha.

Why would Ben send the only surgeon away on a dangerous undercover mission like the day after he finds out he has a deadly tumor and needs surgery??? And then he lets/tells him to stay undercover with the survivors after Goodwin and the 2 unamed others get killed by the surviors?? Theres so many other people who he could get to do that plus Ethan is probably the worst person to send if you want them to not raise suspicion as Ethan is the most dodgy looking guy on the whole island I reckon the survior group would've figured out he wasent on the plane even if Hurley didnt find the manifest he just looks that off putting

FTW; Loosing my interest
I never found interest in the show growing up but have found myself obsessed recently. It got to the point where i was watching it on my breaks and in every chance i got. However, while in season 5, it started to be all over the place. I loved that there was a coherent plot in the past seasons but as i'm approaching season 6, it's starting to feel like we're on a different universe, a different timeline.

Who arrived on the Island first, Desmond or Juliet?
They both say they've been on the island for three years, but beyond that I'm not sure about the timeline.

Just finished watching episode 20 and boone's death really made me cry , watched a bunch of shows but this really made me cry so bad , boone was literally my favourite character. This is the first time i cried watching a show , maybe its because of age as i am in mid twenties now
My man it really hit me bad

If I were to rewatch just one season, which should it be?
I've watched and rewatched every episode in order and randomly. I've watched Chronologically Lost. I'm just interested in watching one season in order, and wonder which it should be.

What do you think were the best and worst decisions and actions that Jack made as the leader of the survivors?
I always thought that the best thing Jack ever did for the Losties was give the ‘Live Together, Die Alone’ speech. Literally nearly everyone listened to him and took that as their guiding principle. If there hadn’t been that collective mentality that he inspired and people hadn’t started to look out for each other (to a certain point), definitely more people would have died.
Also Jack’s S3 finale plan was pretty much genius if a bit risky. And for the most part, it does work out if it hadn’t been for Charlie’s death and obviously that it was Not Penny’s Boat. None of which is Jack’s fault.
In contrast, the S2 finale plan was well dodgy and it was very irresponsible to lead Hurley, Kate and Sawyer into a trap without warning them. To be fair, it was actually Sayid’s plan, an unusual lapse of judgement, but I think Jack’s ego in wanting to take on the Others is definitely taking priority over safety here.
I don’t know whether leading the Oceanic 6 back to the island and exploding the bomb count as really brilliant or really reckless moves. Opinions?

Old parody video I can’t find
Hi, community,
Did I dream it, or did someone once create a fake sitcom trailer of John Locke and Ben Linus, set to the theme song from Perfect Strangers?
It was phenomenal.

Just finished Lost for the first time ever after many years.
I watched the first 5 seasons many years ago and enjoyed it over and over with my friend John, he's a number one fan and can say the numbers in a snap and every detail of the show always has a very positive vibe for the show every episode.
I was naive and never finished the show because I thought the direction was going somewhere I didn't want and I judged many random details. I began watching it again slowly this year with my girlfriend because she's never seen any of it ever and she loved the whole show. It turned out I actually loved the last season and the ending after all that time of telling myself I wouldn't. Very thankful to have finished and it was funny to see my old friend of my brother's, Kenton Duty playing Young Jacob when I knew he played him in Lost but never ended up seeing him in it until now, he did a great job. Shoutout to all the Lost fans out there it's a hell of a ride, entertaining, and absolutely hilarious at moments. I just watched Josh Holloway's latest show Duster on HBO and I enjoyed it very much sadly it was canceled after 1 season check it out if you like good ol Sawyer still kicking ass.
Shoutout to all the Lost fans out there who watched it and are still watching it in 2025. What's yalls favorite moment of the show?
See you in another life brother.

Just finished the whole show for the first time
CONTAINS SPOILERS Note I am yet to watch the Epilogue, I have just finished the final ep of S6!!
WOW what a journey, what an adventure. I have absolutely loved the rollercoaster that was this show, it’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a tv show and I’m 20 years late to it 🥴 I reckon it’s knocked mr robot off the top of my list.
I can’t believe people didn’t enjoy this finale - I was absolutely sobbing. I love that they tied it in full circle. I haven’t gone and read the thread about the last ep cause I want to give you my raw thoughts.
I know people have said it’s open to interpretation and I reckon there’s probably people that think they’ve been dead this whole time - but I think they were either
1: dead when the island exploded in s5 and none of s6 was real OR more plausibly…
2: all of the island stuff was real, but the AU flashes were a heavenly limbo that they were stuck in til they could remember their lives. Jack died at the end of the ep as it happened, on the island. But the others did escape and live their lives - it’s just that when they died sometime in the future their ‘limbo’ brought them back to the age/place of the ideal time (ie when they could all be together). So once everyone was dead (no matter when they died, past or future) they were all in the same place at the same time. Hence Christian saying time didn’t matter.
Im really happy with how things tied up for the most part. I was surprised we didn’t get the black smoke being like purged from Locke’s body or something, his death felt anticlimactic. I’m surprised the numbers didn’t come up more in the last few episodes. There was a few mentions of them but no further tie up for them (I’ve heard this may be in the epilogue and I hope so)
I sobbed over Jin and Sun, I sobbed over Charlie and Claire, and Kate delivering Aaron again, sobbed over Sayid and SHANNON!!!! And I love that they put Damon Salvatore in this final episode and didn’t think we’d notice - RIP BOONE YOU WERE A REAL ONE.
I absolutely scream cried over Sawyer and Juliet I LOVE THEM THEY deserve the WORLD - I also love that Jack and Juliet did end up together but it didn’t work out, I dooooo not understand why Jack had a son in limbo land though. Was he just a narrative device to get Jack to literally face his inner child? I find it really hard to care about Jack and Kate but I did love the montage of them.
I am a bit confused about how Hurley/Desmond became the ones tying everyone together in limboland - and if Ben was Hurleys #2 why wasn’t he involved?
This got long real fast but basically I HAVE ABSOLUTELY LOVED spending the last few months with this show - it nearly tipped me into psychosis several times but god it was worth it that is some good good good good character development I loved it. I can’t wait to read all the threads on here now I’ve seen it all 🥹
