1st time watching- they did my boy John Locke dirty lol
He was the only one who didn’t want to leave and wanted to “serve” the island. You’d think Jacob would reward that but nope.. John gets mind-fucked right before he’s murdered, then possessed by the BM.. dirty lol
Jacob also let the Russian woman blow up after dedicating her life to protecting that group, let Ben stab him, etc. Doesn’t sound like someone representing “good.”
Idk Locke had such a sad life so I was hoping for a redemption arc lol. I guess the after life scenes gave him a little

Do you view season 3 finale as one episode or two separate episodes that tell one story?
Always wanted to know that

My Phone’s Broken YTP Video
So there was this Lost YTP I used to watch frequently that was based around the hospital scene in the flash forward where Jack says to bring his father down here. It mostly used the clip of Jack saying “my phone’s broken” and one line I remember was audio of Hurley mixed in to make “I’m drunk, I’m crazy, my phone’s broken”
I don’t know if anyone else remembers this video, but it disappeared from YouTube a while back and if anyone knows of a reupload or has it saved my partner and I would really appreciate you letting us know where we can see it again
Thanks

aside from jack and locke, where would you place the other characters on the science/faith spectrum?
first time watcher here, i finally got done with the series and I am still gathering my thoughts about all of it.
but one thing that i'm certain about is jack and john were very poor examples of the "man of science" and "man of faith" archetypes.
so how would the other characters align with or resist the two ideologies?
the most obvious man of science pick for me would be faraday
and for faith, i would mr eko. and also rose. she always understood the island was a special place but was not as obsessed with finding her purpose of having delusions of being the chosen one

The End is so much more meaningful after a spiritual awakening
Don’t really have it in me to go into too much detail, especially since this type of talk usually fell on deaf ears for me until i experienced it myself. but in the past week i’ve had what many refer to as a full spiritual awakening - seeing a real crack in my ego for the first time and having a profound realization that i am the universe pretending to be a person/ a unique lens for the universe to experience itself.
I’ve always loved the ending of Lost, but now I’m gaining a new appreciation not just for the final scene, but for the flash sideways in general. the whole “forgetting and then remembering” cycle feels really resonant now. The scenes where they remember their life and who they were, and now realizing they are no longer in that physical form… it connects so closely to that feeling.
That final moment where Christian opens the doors and the light flows through, as everyone gets ready to “let go and move on”. that is the ego shedding away and becoming one with the universe again.
Anyways, happy Wednesday lol.
