The End is so much more meaningful after a spiritual awakening
Don’t really have it in me to go into too much detail, especially since this type of talk usually fell on deaf ears for me until i experienced it myself. but in the past week i’ve had what many refer to as a full spiritual awakening - seeing a real crack in my ego for the first time and having a profound realization that i am the universe pretending to be a person/ a unique lens for the universe to experience itself.
I’ve always loved the ending of Lost, but now I’m gaining a new appreciation not just for the final scene, but for the flash sideways in general. the whole “forgetting and then remembering” cycle feels really resonant now. The scenes where they remember their life and who they were, and now realizing they are no longer in that physical form… it connects so closely to that feeling.
That final moment where Christian opens the doors and the light flows through, as everyone gets ready to “let go and move on”. that is the ego shedding away and becoming one with the universe again.
Anyways, happy Wednesday lol.

Thanks to this thread- this show broke me!
I’ll just go cry forever… 😭
I was a fan of the show when it first ran but like many folks, I got so…lost… in all the “WTH!” moments that I couldn’t follow the main plots anymore. Made it to the finale but never went back.
Time jump- 20 years later and I stumble across this thread and got…lost…for a few solid hours read all the island mysteries explanations that made soo much sense. So I had to go back, and do a full binge rewatch and it was like watching a whole new show!
Seeing all my old favorites again but in a brand new light and realizing how much I missed them and can now better understand them- and then watching that finale!?! 😭 I hit so hard that I crumbled like a fish cookie. Like I said, I’m just going to ugly cry forever over here.
Gonna nurse this show hangover for a few days and eat some big feelings… 🍗

Season 2 Finale - Wow!
Wow just finished Season 2 and that was a crazy last 2 episodes. The way John was certain it didn’t matter but it happened to matter, and Eko being right too. Also Henry Gale seems to be the boss in the Others or something. I’m excited for Season 3, but sad Ana and Libby are gone.
Also glad Michael and Walt are leaving apparently, I wonder how important they’ll be.
How did you guys like the finale?

NO SPOILERS PLEASE
I have just started season 3. Ive been thinking super hard about this, has anyone on here played Hurley's numbers on the lottery?
I play the lottery a bunch at work, and have been considering to try it out.
Let me know.

Does anyone remember the theme song contest where you write a new theme for the show?
It's one of those things where every few years it pops in my head and I look for it online, but never to any avail.
It was open to anyone. We had to sign a contract agreeing to basically give all rights to the music to ABC and then upload the theme.
I watched the show as it aired at the time and I don't recall hearing any contest winner's music being played. (I did find a contest for a promo and apparently that was legitimate.)

So I'm rewatching Lost, I havent seen it since it aired on TV I use to watch it every week with my mom from start to finish. I just got to the part where Illana thre down the dynamite in the bag and blew up and killed herself, and my god I think that was THE WORST death in any show ive ever seen or any form of media, I was so shocked with how stupid that death was I googled it to see if i was being trolled, then rewinded the episode and still refuse to believe it.
What exactly was the point of this character lol
