I think I know what my Lost tattoo would be
“Never tell me what I can’t do.”
I was trying to sort out why I resonated so much with John Locke in this show on my rewatch 20 years later. And it’s for sure because I am progressively and incurably disabled now. The show hit me with so many new layers that I simply did not have the life experience or depth to understand at 21 vs 41.

Just watched Season 3 episode 18 and I...I don't even know.
Okay, I need to just get this out because my brain is fried. This episode was a lot.
The flashbacks with Sun were honestly so intense. Like, first she finds out about Jin’s past and his mom being a prostitute, then she’s dealing with this blackmailer… I was actually kind of stressed for her? And the way she handled it was wild. Basically using her family’s money and power to shut the woman down. I don’t know, I just felt like she was so smart and ruthless but also vulnerable at the same time.
On the island, Sun’s fear of Jack was kind of understandable. I was like, yeah, if he’s back from the Others, what’s going on, right? And then the whole Juliet thing… man, my heart broke for Sun. The way Juliet explains that pregnant women are in danger, and Sun admits her infidelity, it’s so raw. And then finding out the baby was conceived on the island… I felt awful and happy at the same time? Like, I was crying a little.
Also, the subplot with Desmond, Charlie, Hurley, and Jin helping the parachuter was tense, and then Mikhail shows up alive? I did not see that coming. That guy is creepy, and him surviving that electromagnetic shock just made everything feel more dangerous.
And then the last scene… oh man. When the parachuter tells Hurley that the outside world found the plane, and everyone was dead, I literally sat there staring at my screen. I... I can't comprehend that, I'm in denial. I spent three seasons so far with these people and then I get that reveal????? What the hell!!! That changes everything. I'm upset. Like, everything on the island suddenly feels even more impossible and scary. I don’t know how they’re going to handle that.
Honestly, this episode left me feeling so many things at once, anxious, sad, shocked, and kind of mind-blown. I just needed to write it down because I can’t stop thinking about it. I really do not know what to anticipate for 3x23 and that's really scaring me.

Why were the tailies attacked by the Others more?
The tail section had people abducted on the first night and again on the 12th day, ultimately having 12 people taken, plus Cindy later.
The main group didn’t experience anything like this and only had Claire taken which I believe was on the 16th day after the crash. By that point the Others had taken the 12 from the tailies. Walt was only taken over 40 days after the crash.
I’ve never thought about this much until now after watching The Other 48 Days for possibly my 5th time.

what to watch after lost
i am sure a variety of threads like this exist but here we go again in the year 2025 just in case.
I am wrapping up a Lost rewatch and I need more dramatic, adventurous, cast forward TV to watch through. What do you recommend?

After two years of gradual watching, my girlfriend and I finally finished Lost.
It was a rewatch for me and a first watch for her. We started watching the show when we started dating and watched the finale yesterday.
I appreciate a lot of things more on a rewatch since I'm allowing myself to notice more details rather than trying to figure out the mysteries.
And she really loved the show, too! She doesn't usually like shows like Lost, but she said it was really well written and compelling with a great finale.
I think Lost is the perfect show, honestly. The two biggest criticisms of it ("They were dead the whole time" and "They left too many questions unanswered") aren't even true, and I really don't have a bad thing to say about any aspect of the show.
Anyway, it took us two years to watch it so I'm just glad it's finally done. I probably won't rewatch Lost again for a very long time, but it is far and away my favorite show ever. I don't know if anything will ever top it.

Best possible finish
Hey team, I am watching Lost with my wife, this is her first time seeing the show - I’ve seen it before but I have forgotten a lot, especially around the ending, I’m pretty sure that I have missed multiple episodes in season 5 and season 6 when the show was first aired.
I think it’s taken us about 3 years to get to this point (she was skeptical of the show) but we have just finished season 4 episode 7 (Ji Yeon) and she is really enjoying the new things introduced in this season. I really want her to have the best experience possible in the lead up to the finale so she can love the show and the ending as much as I do - should I be clarifying anything/pointing anything out/discussing certain themes with her as we go?
Thanks for your help Losties!
