‘Lost’ after Lost
Me and my boyfriend just finished watching lost in an embarrassingly short amount of time and now we’re, well, Lost on what to watch next 🤣 the show was so good we have no idea what to watch next without being disappointed! Any recommendations? We loved the supernatural aspects of it and I LOVED the character development especially with Kate and sawyer and Jack. That ending was so good and so sad at the same time and every couple or friend that remembered made me tear up a little bit. Now we need help ‘moving on’ to another show to watch before rewatching this one

Top 5s - LOST edition

Let me know what you agree/disagree with and share some of your top 5s!
Top 5 Favourite characters:
1. Desmond - I loved his intro, his entire storyline with Penny, his iconic phone call, his time travel episodes
2. Ben - amazingly acted, one of the most interesting antagonists ever
3. Sayid - probably the most competent Lostie on the island, loved his backstory
4. Sawyer - he has his ups and downs, is morally grey but so is everyone else, enjoy his humour a lot
5. Jack - main character, his flashbacks and backstory were really interesting, really relate to him
HM: Locke, Hurley, Juliet, Richard, list could go on…
Top 5 Least Favourite characters:
1. Michael - “MY SON”
2. Kate - “MY SON”
3. Claire - “MY SON”
4. Radzinsky - very fitting end for him if what Kelvin Inman said about him was true
5. Anthony Cooper - worst flashback and overall character, got what he deserved
HM: Susan, Ana Lucia
Top 5 Favourite moments:
1. Sawyer tells Jack about when he met Christian - Jack’s acting in this scene without saying a word
2. Desmond’s phone call with Penny - OMG
3. Sawyer kills OG Sawyer (Locke’s dad) - the perfect revenge, when he ripped Sawyer’s letter, I wanted to punch him through the screen
4. Ben watching Alex die - his last attempt to save her was saying she wasn’t his daughter and that she didn’t mean anything to him, classic Ben
5. “We have to go back” reveal - blew my mind completely
Top 5 Funniest moments:
1. Hurley being interrogated by Chang about time travel - "You're 46?" and “There’s no such thing” and the cut to Jin LOOOL
2. “Oh yeah, there’s my favourite leaf”
3. Ben lies - “I was taught by my mother”
4. After the supply drop - “Great plan, Moonbeam. And after that we can sing Kumbaya and do trust falls”
5. John and Jack with the dynamite: “Bzzz” - “You like to play games John?”
Top 5 favourite episodes:
1. The Constant - is this a surprise? Its a beautiful episode about my favourite character
2. Through the Looking Glass
3. Flashes before your eyes
4. Pilot
5. The End
Top 5 most shocking moments:
1. We have to go back! - First flash forward and I was oblivious the whole time (bonus: Hoffs-Drawlar clue)
2. Desmond gets visions and saves Aaron twice (Charlie really)
3. Losties finding out Ethan wasn’t on the plane
4. Michael shoots Libby (Ana Lucia was expected but the second shot was NOT)
5. Nikki and Pablo reveal at the end of Exposé - funny but shocking
Top 5 “I cried” moments:
1. John wakes up with his father and kidney both gone - :((((
2. Keamy shoots Alex while Ben watches
3. Jin doesn’t leave Sun and they both drown
4. Vincent staying with Jack as he slowly dies
5. Sawyer and Juliet meet again in the finale at the vending machine
Top 5 Michael Giacchino moments (soundtrack): some obvious popular choices but the music is timeless and honestly it makes the show complete
1. Oceanic 815
2. Moving On
3. Life and Death
4. Landing Party
5. Hollywood and Vines

Just rewatched Lost and had some thoughts.
Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t finished.
1. Widmore didn’t change the rules. Ben disavowed Alex. Once he said she wasn’t his daughter, there was no rule.
2. Ben is THE best character. Evil in the beginning, grey in the middle and by the end I’m rooting for him. How?! I love him.
3. In the last season in the sideways afterlife everyone gets to atone for things they did or have things they didn’t get to have. Why does Kate get a pass? She’s still saying nothing is her fault despite her direct involvement in multiple people’s death or harm.
4. There’s a short epilogue episode where Ben recruits Walt. Since Hurley is there to cross over w everyone else, does that mean Walt is running the island w his ghost dad?

Started showing my partner Lost
Two days ago my partner got lost as a surprise because I have been wanting to show her it for a very long time now. But the funniest thing happened today. We were watching 3 or 4 episodes today before she had to go to work. The last episode she had time for was season 1 episode 10!!! That was the note she was left on before work! Lol. I could not have been happier with this outcome and her suffering lol. I love her so much.

Looking for recap
Hey I‘m looking for a recap series that was on YouTube back then. Weekly format. It was done with puppets. I think puppets like Barbie but I’m not shure. But it was not Lost untangled.
I only remember one line: "I’m not your brother, brother!" It was about Desmond (obviously).

Why put them through all of this?
I'm on my fourth rewatch and currently on 3x2. They have Kate, Jack and Sawyer who, as we know, are candidates. If that is the case then why couldn't they (The Others) just sit them all down, explain everything and let them decide what to do? Why put them through all of the crap? I know it's for the benefit of the series, but having watched it several times I just keep finding these little things and I obsess over them. I'm nitpicking, yes,

Genuine question about Desmond
How did he live on his own down at the hatch and had no health problems due to sleep, guy had to wake up every like an 1hour and 40 mins to press a button

Why didn't they just write the numbers next to computer?
Why didn't they just write down the numbers next to computer?
Multiple times they had to have someone new memorize the numbers to push the button.
Seems they'd write it down in obvious place to avoid any confusion.

About to finish Season 3 now and had a question, is Lost one of those shows where the final 3 seasons are a huge falloff?
I know Lost gets a bad rep for its ending, and that the Creators originally wanted it to have only 3 season, so I had always assumed that the final season are just terrible. But I've been looking at reviews on IMBD and reddit and they seem pretty good. What are you guys thoughts?

Just Finished for the First Time
I've learned to let go.
I've never heard spoilers through the years and this is my first time even searching this subreddit.
I crafted a theory after about halfway through season 1. That theory was that everyone in the plane crash died. The "survivors" of the crash are on an island of limbo, an in-between for them to make right with their previous ways. The people who are dieing on the island have made peace with their old lives and are ready to move on to "heaven/hell". This started making more sense once the brother/half sister died... They were able to redeem themselves. It also made sense when the Others took the good people away. I suppose this was Jacob's list. I felt pretty proud of myself, but I also was second guessing myself because I knew the writers had too many characters to service and giving them an arc and killing them off was an easy way to become more plot focused.
Then of course things got weird in season 3 and 4. Season 4 was an amazing season finale. I enjoyed everything about it. I guess I would have liked to know more about why Ben and Whitmore hated each other.
The finale... Was somewhat gratifying that my theory was mostly correct in that everyone was dead, but the timelines were a bit confusing. I'll have to do some research on this sub to fully understand it. But my thought process is that the main timeline is when flight 815 crashed on the island (the island exists). The events that that Jack and crew experience are what they experience as they are dead. The season 6 reality of the flight landing, is the final waiting room before heaven/hell.
So basically there were two waiting rooms after dieing and before going to heaven/hell. The Island and the season 6 reality of the plane landing safely.
I could be totally wrong, but that's how I see it in my mind.
Anyways, if you read this far I appreciate it and it was a good sifi show. Not perfect, but glad it happened to help create soft sifi as more of a major category for TV shows.
Finally, I'm happy to be done with the show. Season 5 was a slog and at least season 6 had some answers. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else on the sub enjoyed about the show.
Ps. I loved all the little Easter eggs that were placed through the entire series. Also, I thought they did an amazing job with continuity. Jin had to wear those handcuffs for waaaayyyy too long in season 1. Also Giranamo Jackson showing up at least once a season was hilarious.
Pss. Locke as Heisenberg in Breaking Bad would have worked well. He had great chemistry with Aaron Paul.

Please help find old song
Hi please help me find this song
I have no lyrics but i know its 2000's-90's and the music video is of a group of people running through the forest while a green beam shoots from the sky and turns them to stone, they make it to the edge of the forest but a girl is turned to stone just before she gets out and is transported to a black void where the singer is and her statue body breaks into little pieces. Its sound reminds me of incubus. Thank you

First time watching/finishing question
What was Jacob’s story? Why are they able to pass on the responsibility of taking care of the island? Is that an eternal role? Why is his (adoptive) mom? I understood the implications for all the seasons but the last season didn’t make sense (but was satisfying as a conclusion).
My impression was that the island was purgatory and that’s what made it the battleground for morality. It defied the laws of nature and was where people with gray morales were stranded. But we see people leave the island willingly??
I’ve googled a lot and have become more confused as I read more. What the hell happened at the end? Was Desmond the real main character instead of Jack?? (My personal theory because I love Desmond shhhhh).
