Ben’s mess up

season 2 when Ben was eating cereal and talking to Jack and Locke about “what he would do if he was an other”


he went on to say he would lead then into a trap and then “he would use them to trade for himself”. he also used the term “his people”


both of these were incredibly foolish things to say and made it incredibly obvious that he was not only one of the others, but he made it extremely obvious that he was in fact the leader.


if he was just “one of them” he would say “ they would use your people to trade for me”. But the fact that he said “I would use them to trade for me” implies that he calls the shots. And he is the leader.


calling them “his people“ also hinted towards him being the leader. Because usually people in charge say “my employees/my team/my people”


how neither jack nor Locke caught onto this was extremely lucky. Also the fact that he even said that little ”hypothetical situation” made it obvious he was playing mind games with them. He was also very obvious in his mind games against Locke.

The Lost soundtrack might be one of the best ever made for TV.

Michael Giacchino really nailed that emotional mix of mystery and heartbreak. The score still gives me chills, especially during the season finales. Honestly, it's hard to imagine the show working without it.

Liquid nitrogen on bomb battery

First time watcher. Just hit S4 episode 13.

Desmond, Jin and Michael are trying to disarm the C4 bomb and come up with the idea of freezing the battery. This isn’t a bad idea, this could potentially work.

With that said, all three would have died within minutes. Nitrogen gas is one of the most common causes of injury/death within labs and production environments. In such a small room without active and aggressive ventilation, they would be unconscious and dead before they realized their mistake. They were proper fucked and didn’t even know it.

In like episode 9/10 Desmond was shown his real life by Charlie and after he went to the party that Eloise was organising.
After talking with Daniel Faraday he goes to the stadium where he met with jack in season 2/3
And meets Penny and asks her out.
Do they show us the date between Desmond and penny?(or do they show it in the last 1 hour and half long episode)

What was the point of the hy-bird?

Yes, I understand its appearance in "Live Together, Die Alone" created an opportunity for Michael to discover that Jack hadn't loaded his gun. And I suppose it provided some (very) mild comic relief because its call sounded like it was saying "Hurley." But it ultimately only amounted to being a mildly interesting extra detail about the DHARMA Initiative's activities.

Is it possible the writers may have been toying with it developing into something more integral to the island's mythology?

MiB is not the monster

I just finished the show, so maybe this has been debunked or something, but rethinking Across the sea, where we see Jacob's origins, I don't think it's really trying to say that the Mib is the monster.
I think the monster always existed and that the job of the protector was always to keep it locked away. My theory is that it orchestrated the falling out between Jacob and his brother by pretending to be their biological mother, in order to make him kill the protector, their fake mother. And it succeeded, but it was too late, cause she already made Jacob the new protector.
Part of my theory is that, it doesn't just pretend to be others, but takes their memories and personalities too (like when as Locke he says something like "We're gonna argue about who pushes the button" to Jack, like he's the real John). MiB didn't become the monster, cause we still see his body, separate from the smoke, it just took his appearance and memories, but unlike the real MiB, he's pure evil, with the same goal of leaving the island.
It's just an amalgamation of everyone it "scanned" and pretended to be.
