Season 3 beginning

I am currently on season 3 episode 4 and at the start of the season I really wonder why Charlie didn't alert everyone when he got back to the camp about the hatch imploding and he didn't even tell them about Eko being wounded and he just joined them like nothing happened like how does that make sense. I don't know if I am missing something.
